Overall a good remake. It's unfortunate that apart from a very basic parry mechanic and a few new abilities it doesn't bring anything new to the table following Fusion and Zero Mission, and the variety is lacking... especially for a 2017 release, the same year a game called Hollow Knight came out with over 100 unique kinds of enemies.

Super Metroid aside, I've got the impression that 2D Metroid games always manage to be good, but never really great.

this game is fucking amazing, holy sheet. i don't have anything negative to say about it, one of the best experiences ive ever had. music, story, art, level design, sound design, the atmosphere... everything combines to create a perfect experience. completely blown away. so many cute bugs, and hornet steals the show, her fights were so much fun. boss fights are hard but very rewarding once you overcome them. MASTERPIECE.

can't wait to explore more and discover all the hidden secrets in this world. metroidvania peaked here, it doesn't get any better than this. GIT GUD

this game surprised me a lot. it doesn't have the most complex story, no big twists or mysteries, but the lower scale of the plot works in it's favor. it's an intimate story, an emotional rolercoaster with a simple but gut wrenching conclusion. the gameplay gets surprisingly creative at times and i really appreciated that, however the choices you make don't seem to have much impact in how things turn out.

alex and steph are easily the most likeable characters in the entire franchise, i want what they have <3

A MASTERPIECE, AGAIN. capcom really became the kings of remakes. i don't know how they did it, but i like this version better than the original. it improves in so many aspects of it, keeping what made RE4 so special back in 2005. they're still different games, if you appreciate the b movie campyness and over the top nature of the original, it's still there for you.
this one is more serious in tone, and the horror works better for it, yet finds a perfect balance between scary and goofy. leon's personality is perfect here, imo. ashley is less annoying (her relationship with leon is actually cute this time), ada is ada (very sexy), luis is as sexy as ever, KRAUSER is a ridiculous extravagant bad guy i fecking love him, and the other villains (specially saddler and salazar) are WAY scarier and more intone of what they should be. hunnigan is cute and funny af, anyone knows if she's seeing someone? asking for a friend.

in all seriousness, i kept laughing and giggling the entire time while playing this. i'm so happy. i feel like what it must've felt playing RE4 back in the day. and that mid credits scene got me so hyped omggggg
BRING RE5 REMAKE, TAKE MY FUCKING MONEY YOU BASTARDSSHDSD

2014

i didn't have the chance to play it but it's still an amazing experience to watch. we were robbed of a masterpiece

1993

the only reason to play this is if you're horny for jill's blonde ass... so, yeah.

superhero games are often difficult to make thus all the praise this one received is well deserved. it doesn't do anything amazing but it's interesting enough and captures the essence of the guardians so well. story is fine and surprisingly emotional at times, i had one of those moments when you drop the controller and just think about what's happening, but i would have loved for some more gameplay variety in later chapters, it gets pretty repetitive.

Maybe the best Resident Evil. Loved how Capcom were able the reinvent the series after that bad period. It's a modern horror game similar to PT but that also took inspiration from the original RE games. And first person is definitely the way too go, it's obviously the best perspective for the horror genre. The only thing that bothered me a bit was the combat, I hope it gets better in RE Village.

2019

Starts with a promising premise but the story goes completely downhill. Boring, confusing and cliché, I'm not even interested to see the different endings etc. Erica is very cute tho

Unfortunately RE3R is a lazy remake. More action than needed, less survival horror and too short with a lot of recycled stuff. It offers a decent first playthrough but thats it. Almost no replayability, no extra content, no mercenaries mode. Instead, we have a boring and poorly designed online multiplayer that I'm not even bothering trying. Sigh.
It is not a bad game at all, but it's a damn shame how much content was cut from the original RE3. They failed to replicate what made Resident Evil 3 special and that is so disappointing considering how good RE2's remake was.

2017

I'm just a bitch for immersive sims and arkane delivered again. I'm happy.

ps: the nightmare is so fucking annoying, fuck him

i don't usually drop games, let alone one this short, but damn this shit boring af. the promise of it being a detective game with a beautiful art style really fooled me.. it's barely a game you just click stuff and do google searches lmao

it's also got one of the least engaging writings and voice acting that i've ever seen. hard pass

fun and charming for like 5 minutes but then it becomes really irritating
