Played this on my IPS gameboy color from a flash cart. Really impressive game. Very fun to find a horror game on the gameboy made so recently. It does a great job building atmosphere throughout the three days. You definitely feel the time crunch throughout the game, also the music is superb.

I only did one play through, got the "happiest" ending it turns out. Looking up all the other endings I was surprised by how many and how diverse they all are. Will likely come back and replay it again when its not as fresh in my mind. While its a tad short, it does a lot with the time it has and I think does have some real re-play value.

What a phenomenal game! I played this on my Retroid Pocked Flip to test out its gamecube potential. It played perfectly with just a few slow downs here and there.

I loved the style of this game. Mixed with the adventure of exploring the seas this thing is great. I challenged myself to not look up any guides or walkthroughs and was able to beat the game with 16 of the 20 potential hearts. This game has a reputation for being the "easy" Zelda game and honestly that I could finish it with no help is a testament to that.

However, even though it isn't the hardest Zelda, it is still incredibly fun. There is nothing like sailing the Great Sea, happening upon an Island and discovering what awaits you. This game has rekindled my interest in Zelda. I now want to play Twilight Princes and the switch releases because of this game.

Classic game I've always wanted to play. I wasn't aware of it's play style, just the world. But I wasn't disappointed. You guide Abe around in a 2d world with prerendered 3D backgrounds. He is very weak and dies to everything. So essentially you are playing a puzzle game where you die when you're wrong. Really loved the graphics and environments. Of course the anticapitalist story apealled to me as well.

The age of the game does come through in places. It uses a check point system that is very challenging, sending you way back when you mess up. Playing on the RP3 I could avoid this with save states, but without this convenience Im almost certainly I wouldn't have finished the game or gotten very far at all. That being said I couldn't get enough of the smooth controls and general comedy. This is worth a play, but my god do you need save states.

Decided to play this after the PS1 Spider Man game. Ended up emulating it on the PC and it ran pretty great, minus a few missing textures and some occasional screen tears. However it ran at full 60fps the whole time which is what matters.

The greatest thing about this game is the web slinging. They just did such a great job with it. Its not too complicated but its also not super simple. You really feel like you are spider man zipping around, and damn you feel cool.

Beyond the web slinging all the levels/bosses are pretty run of the mill chase/fight objectives. The story itself is a fine retelling of the comic, with some nice splashy comic book effects for scene transitions and action. I was a little surprised at the length. I beat it in just 8ish hours (so two nights of playing). As a child I remember playing this game forever. Of course I was trying to complete every race/fight and collect all the secrets which would likely add at least 3 hours to the experience.

Overall this is a nostalgia banger for me. Just love the art, playing as venom or spiderman, and good god did they nail the web slinging!

Played the rom on my GBC.

Really loved this little game! It's pretty short but every moment is great. It's kind of like a Zelda game in space. However the interactions between you and your ship's AI are very engaging. You really get to know their relationship through their banter. The ending was also very emotional, legit felt something at the conclusion of the story. Would absolutely recommend to anyone.

Beyond the story this final act wasn't quite as engaging as the The Ancient Gods Part 1. I think the environments for this one just fell a little flat for me. The abandoned forts and over technofied hell just didn't do it for me. However, the pay off of finally finishing the story was well worth it.

The new demons are fine. Again they are a little more annoying than interesting in most cases (buffing enemies or debuffing you) which is a shame. I did enjoy the new platforming element involving the shotgun grappling hook, that was clever.

I ended up starting and playing this through on easy given my experience with Part 1. This made it much more enjoyable and allowed me to focus more on the enemy/environmental designs than I'd had time to before.

Overall it is a great conclusion to this story arc of DOOM.

This is a very good Kingdom Hearts game. I continue to be impressed by the handheld offerings of this franchise. I had no idea how powerful the 3DS was. The visuals are insane, comparable to KHII and better than BBS on the PSP.

Beyond the graphics the game also does a great job utilizing the 3DS features. You constantly use the stylus in fights and also to interact with adorable dream eaters. They seriously nailed the inputs for a device with no triggers and only one joystick.

Mechanically the game is also on point. You always feel in control and the leveling of abilities/stats through your dream eaters is super fun. It took me a minute to grasp all the interlocking components but once you do its a blast.

Story wise it is KH. So take it or leave it, you should know what you're getting into by now. I personally really liked the story and thought that it actually wasn't too confusing by the end. Playing this in preparation for KHIII makes me feel very confident in what is happening timeline wise and what to expect from that game.

My only complaint is the bosses, specifically the end game. Overall this is a relatively easy game. You go to worlds, beat guys up and maybe have to redo a boss once or twice. That is until the end game. The final segment had, and I'm not kidding, 6 boss battles in a row. They are all also exceptionally harder than any previous part of the game. It felt like I was playing a nice game and then right at the end they told me to get fucked noob. It was so challenging and completely unfun. I like a challenge but it coming out of no where and then just dragging on from boss to boss to boss was tedious.

Still glad I played it. I would highly recommend it to KH fans (obviously) but also to anyone who wants to see what the 3DS is really capable of.

Played this on my RP3. Took about 12 hours total. Very happy some folks were able to create an English translation patch for this game that was never localized here. I don't play many point and click adventures so it is hard for me to judge the gameplay. Generally I liked it. Some of the action scenes involving bombs and guns got a little tiring as they tended to ramp up in challenge and then restart you quite a bit further back.

The plot itself was interesting enough. Lots of the twists and turn were pretty obvious tbh. However the acting and cinematics were a real treat. Love this animation style.

Clearly Kojima was in love with Mell Gibson as the main character Jonathan is a carbon copy of him. His partner Ed being a facsimile of Murdoc. That being said I think that the character development was actually quite good. There are some charming scenes, particularly eating dinner at Ed's house. While you will have to get through the perverted parts, they aren't that often and don't distract too much.

For anyone that likes point and click adventures, 80s scifi or buddy cop films, and/or Kojima this is worth your time.

Great game. I emulated it on my Retroid Flip which was able to handle it quite well with minimal slow downs. I only played Jak II as a kid so this entry was a fresh start for me. Really love the casual collectathon. The world building is also excellent and really engaging to explore. Its a bit short by modern standards, I beat it 100% power cells and 1898/2000 precursor orbs in just about 9 hours, but honestly for this type of gameplay loop that is totally fine. Solid action platformer.

Fun little side story to get you ready for KH 3. I've been playing all the handheld games I missed to get ready for 3 and this was the final KH game I hadn't played.

Given it's short length (about one typical world in a full game) it felt more like a tease than a complete game. However what it teased was great. The graphics are phenomenal and the combat/movement systems were smooth and precise. This did get me very stoked for KH3.

A really fun little game. It does feel like a nice Jak & Daxter offshoot. I find Daxter funny so I was laughing the whole time, but if you don't like his comic relief you wont like him as the main character. I particularly enjoyed how this slotted in perfectly between Jak 1 and Jak 2 story wise. From the plot to the little bug style metal heads it was great. The dream sequences are also a hoot, its great to see how Daxter imagines himself, and they even give you little life bonuses tool. I do think the pacing is a little weird, it just kind of ramps up and ends without much notice. I'm sure there are several more hours of game play if you really want to collect all the precursor orbs but I'm not trying to 100% games anymore.

This was an okay addition to KHIII. While it did flesh out some of the ending story, it does so in a rather confusing way. I got it, but only after watching a youtube explanation. Ultimately my major complaint is that it lacks much game play. I'd say half of the "play time" was actually watching cut scenes. When you aren't watching cut scenes its just a typical KH end game boss rush (my least favorite part of any entry). The additional end game content is also bananas hard. For a game that I never died while playing on standard I can't even pretend to fight the first of 13 extra bosses. It truly is wild.

Very fun little game. Reminds me a bit of super meat boy. I played this on a flashcart on my ips moded GBC. Enjoyed how each area had a unique theme (switching spikes, gravity, bouncing). Made each level in those zones feel unique. Also appreciated the emphasis on speed running. Really forced you to replay levels to better understand/beat them in time. I was able to 100% the game is about an hour and half, but it was a great hour and a half.

Played this while downloading my first games. Pretty nifty little tech demo for the new PS5 controller. Honestly got pretty involved in collecting all the playstation console/peripherals. Lots of nostalgia for this stuff lol

Phenomenal game. Really love the flow that you get into with the game loop of kill demon for ammo/health, focus on big guy, kill demon for ammo/health, focus on big guy, and repeat. Did get stuck on one section were the combo of environment and demon types just killed me. However, generally it wasn't too hard to get through. Honestly the final boss was a little disappointing. Also love the lore and general tone of the game. Literally everything is turned up to 11. Also the weight of Doom Guy and his arsenal is just perfect. It is a joy to play this game.
