Simple story, painfully easy gameplay, the weakest Pokedex, unfortunately dull graphics (both the Pokemon's 3D models, and the environments). The lowpoint of the series, remedied only by the fact that... well it's Pokemon.

The start of my all-time favourite franchise. Very hard to go back to if you aren't already a Pokemon fan.

Fun for about 2 hours if you play with friends.

The game runs dry once your town is settled. Villager interactions are lacking, so much so that the GC original had more interesting characters. The first like 3 months were delightful though.

I love this game with all my heart.

Every other expansion is worth playing through if only just to get to here. An amazing story with well-written characters and a fascinating world.

Some of the best areas in the game, but a fractured story, half of which I didn't much care for.

An improvement on the base game, with a far superior story. I wish I loved it as much as other people do.

The only MMO I've put considerable time into. I love the game as a whole with all of its expansions but the base game is weak, and can be a slog to get through.

A solid game that fails to live up to it's predecessor's shadow. Great characters and tons of cool moments/areas. The ending was lackluster, I think all routes lead towards it, and you can make massive alignment changes at the last second, ruining your theoretical character arc but allowing you to get most endings through save scumming.

A great game with a handful of glaring flaws, such as largely uninteresting combat and tons of Bethesda's infamous glitches. It makes up for it with an incredible story and great world building. Play using the fan patch.

Would be so much better of the lobby system was good. Its just awkward in its current state. The netcode itself is great.

The pokemon fan's pokemon game. Play FRLG or RBY first for maximum enjoyment.

A refreshing and heartfelt game thats influences are still seen today in modern indie RPGs. It will break your heart then leave you smiling. Playing Earthbound first is not required but recommended.

CW for anti-black racism. There is one character who is a racist caricature, though he is a side character who can almost entirely be ignored.

The best openworld exploration out there, driven by fantastic systems-based interactions. The only downside is that the dungeons are few and far between.
