Beautiful PS5 launch game that's still one of the best to date. Picked it up cheap on the store and well worth the investment. Due to length and overall content however, it's debatable whether it was ever worth £50+.

What looks on the surface as a simple 2D farming sim is much more complex and meaty the deeper in you get. The best part is you can enjoy this game in many different ways. Whether you're fighting in the mines, focusing on your relationships, exploring the town's many hidden stories or filling up the community centre, Stardew Valley will draw you in with its charming and alive world.

This was my all time favourite game for for over 15 years until Rockstar released Red Dead Redemption 2. Nostalgia has a huge part to play here, but I did spend endless hours wandering Vice City and being thrilled by it's unapologetic nautiness.

Very interesting story in a beautiful setting, this game is memorable despite it's flaws. The characters are good and voiced well, I particularly enjoyed the main character. The gameplay is fun and enjoyable enough, but gets very repetitive over time. A worthy title for the end of the PS4 era.

The Resi remakes are excellent; relighting the survival horror genre in a sea of zombie crawling epicness. Resi 2 remake certainly stands out as the best of the lot though. Simply a must play.

Doesn't quite match the highs of the first game, but still delivers in emotional storytelling and beautiful setting. Not many people's favourite but I personally really like the road trip theme this game has. Many memorable moments only slightly let down by the marginally disappointing ending.

Not only the best Harry Potter game ever made, but one of the best LEGO titles too. The exploration of Hogwarts is endlessly fun and rewarding but it's the fun and addictive gameplay that sets these games apart from anything else. Plus it's great hearing the original score as you run about turning students into ducks.

Played on PS5, this is a stunningly gritty game that really shows off current gen capabilites. It's not particularly cheery and can be a struggle to get through in certain areas, but it will live in my memory for a long time.

A fun and worthy remake of one of the least favoured original titles in the series. The Resi engine rules and looks at its absolute best here. It just doesn't have a lot to work with from the original release and falls flat story wise.

Had a great time playing this with my non-gamer wife. Extremely fun level designs and gameplay make allowances for the overly cheesey and lackluster story.

A really enjoyable co-op experience. The two main characters have depth and are interesting throughout. The story plateaus for a while through the middle but accelerates to the heart-wrenching end. Fun if simple gameplay.

Irresistibly fun and endlessly challenging, this is the true flagship Nintendo kart racer game of a generation.

Decent gameplay (when working) and a pretty big roster, but everything else sucks asssss.

Fun during lockdown. Punishing when coming up against pro 14 year olds.

My favourite game of all time. Rockstar perfected everything from the original and the GTA games prior to create a gaming masterpiece. Doubt I'll ever tire revisiting this world.
