Kinda slow and ugly, but still the best 3D collectathon game... mostly because it actually exercised restraint in how much shit it made the player collect and kept the stages to a reasonable size.

I really like the general atmosphere and aesthetic of this game. Did isekai before it was cool.

Substantially better than any 3D Zelda, despite coming out before Ocarina of Time. Just play this and forget about that series.

Extremely fascinating mixture of a side-scrolling beat 'em up and a branching adventure game. I'd love to play another game like this, and if I ever made a game of my own, it would probably be heavily influenced by this.

Blatantly unfinished, but what's there is great. Some of the best movement in a platformer; I'd love to see a spiritual successor that recaptured how fun it was to control Marina.

Grinding to reach the stat threshold for Bloody Mary kinda killed my enthusiasm for the game as a whole lol.

Stunningly unique game, perhaps to the point of its own detriment. I'd love to see a major developer release a cracked-out game like this today.

The underground angel village is still one of the most beautiful and haunting setpieces in any piece of media for me.

Less broken than SD2, but still not very interesting. Has my favorite soundtrack on the SNES.

The only real problem with this game is that the second stage fucking sucks and it's, well, the second stage. Actually a great arcade-style platformer if you're willing to give it a chance and don't just run screaming from how hard stage 1 is.

Actually a gem, don't be fooled by the fact that it's a licensed game. Consistently entertaining puzzles and a hard mode that actually switches up the design of the game instead of just fiddling with numbers!

This was made by Mikami before he went on to create the Resident Evil series. I haven't played any RE game, but this is better than all of them.

Pokemon is really bad actually.

PS2 version runs so poorly the game itself is basically unplayable.

It's escapism, don't you understand?

Fuck this game.

Still the best SRPG of all time, and still the best Final Fantasy.

Way too basic to be worth playing now. Was a groundbreaking foray into more cinematic storytelling at the time.
