Art is great. Core gameplay is very fun. Unfortunately, melee attack is clunky and the character has inertia when moving. The flow overall is not good and there’s no level select. Sure, there are cheats but that’s a hassle. It's cool that this is a Mega Drive game, but if they tightened up gameplay, added features to make a more modernized version that could be really great.
Played it to death, so I'd rather play other entries.

This game ruined the genre for me. After enjoying DQ8 a ton, I tried other DQ games, but couldn’t get into them. Then I tried other turn-based JRPGs, and they were all disappointing.

Charming and cozy
These cars ain't your straight out the wash cars, it's refreshing to see some dirt, dust and wear in a racing game. There is so much to love about FlatOut. Mini-games are hilarious, stupid and addictive. Destruction derby collisions are super satisfying. There are multiple types of races with a nice variety of stages. It's got everything and does them with the dirty aesthetics, which adds a ton of character to the visuals. Just make sure to mute the music, and put your own playlist on. Much like the music, the presentation seems to be aimed at a certain demographic, but if you can look over that part, you'll find a fun, challenging experience.
Mario is the plug. I wish there was a mode where the game gets gradually harder, like Tetris. It has ‘endless’ mode which is unbeatable afaik, and then ‘classic’ mode which have set levels you beat. There are other alternative modes like Dr. Luigi, but I tend to stick to classic mode. Also it’s disappointing that 3D wasn’t implemented.
You can get pimp-slapped by a pimp, then punch him in the balls on the GBA! What more could you possibly want?
Melatonin
Call it fate, call it a prophecy. Sure she has done other things, but Samus is a ball. THIS is what she was truly destined to accomplish. Now insert that Rumble pak and start clicking them shoulder buttons
From reading other reviews here, it seems that the micro transaction narrative has taken over what this game is. It's a fun baseball based mini-game collection. It's a free game. You play it, and decide if it something you enjoy. If you enjoy it, you can buy additional mini-games for very reasonable, affordable prices. Nintendo is trying to save you money if you don't like the game. Would you rather buy it for full price and take a risk of regretting your purchase? It's not like there's ads all over the game like most other free-to-play games. If you're complaining about the micro transactions in this particular game you are frankly missing the point. Please use critical thinking.
