definitely nostalgic for this one but replayed the full thing recently
very lovely concept, stages can be fun to explore and find all of the secrets in.
leaves a lot to be desired, mainly in length of stages and variety of pokemon

aesthetically this game is beautiful and a good soundtrack
gameplay doesn't feel great, movement can be clunky at times especially with how sheer the difficulty curve can be
the larvae and jellyfish bosses are rad but most of the other ones are either absurdly easy or way too hard
the final boss is the single most annoying experience in this game, especially because I went into with no weapon powerups
wouldn't highly recommend

street fighter clone that is substantially less interesting
some of the boss characters are fun to play as but the balance is practically nonexistent
but had a great time trying to beat the overpowered AI with my friends so still pretty fond of it

why are saki's thighs that massive dear god

yeah microtransactions are all over the place now and getting to a point where you can consistently do the fun stuff in the game takes far too long for a casual player
but the end game dungeons and "raids" are incredibly fun mechanically and thematically
the lore is really interesting and getting good drops feels hella good
but everyone will have a different quitting point whether that's from getting your first lvl 20 or getting max exalts

one of those games everyone has to play before they die

you have to get the oil temperature just right

it's a great game, definitely nostalgic for it, but yeah after the ~10ish hour mark the gameplay loop of these kinda games always starts to feel a little too repetitive to want to see it through to completion

visually stunning metroidvania that's compelling the whole way through
movement is so fun especially once you have ori's full toolkit at your disposal

i maintain the fact the gameplay is incredibly fun
however making a bare bones melee clone relying purely on nickelodeon characters to help sell it to non melee fans is not the best idea marketing wise

getting too much shit retroactively
plays really well for a smash clone, movement feels like a bridge between ultimate and melee
it was a fad but was fun while it lasted

great character variety, combat, and good side content

super fun, character and minion variety add a lot to switching up the gameplay experience
tracks are all very good for the most part
simple to understand but still some incredibly difficult tracks
