Another great Metroid title, especially when considering that they turned the original Metroid into something actually enjoyable to play, while still being mostly faithful to the source. The new bosses put in were all pleasant surprises and enjoyable to fight. Wasn't crazy about the post-Mother Brain content, as I'm not a fan of 'Zero Suit' Samus, but it make for a kickass moment when you get the suit back.

Great game, but i didn't beat it because of the weird part at that end that wasn't in the original Super Metroid. I beat all the other stuff so I still consider it a win.

has there ever been a metroid game more replayable than this? i cannot fathom for the life of me why i ever used to dislike this game when so much of it is refined and brilliant. everything in the game has been considered for sequence breaking and minimalist runs, resulting in a tightly designed game that rewards skill and knowledge. it's a genuine shame that we're likely never going to see another 2D metroid game like this ever again, because this did so much with so little.

small game for small system, need I say more?

Was the stealth section truly necessary?

A sublime Metroid experience. Short, sweet, and great fun, with plenty of opportunity for sequence breaking and speedrunning.

Better than Super and Fusion by a country mile.

Mostly because it fixes every issue I had with those games and then fixed how bad the NES game was. The Perfect Remake

Easily the most replayable title in the series. Always fun to take a few hours and just run through the thing.

perfect remake, literally couldn't have asked for anything more

Played on the smartphone. Never thought it could be this good.

Best raw game of the series, but a little too slight to stack up to the hours of hypnotic immersion of Super. Probably the best remake of all time imo so there's that

A really nice, bite sized 2D Metroid. Doesn't quite hit the series highs but still showcases its better qualities - a little more explorative than Fusion, a little less sluggish than Super.

Didn't care at all for the Zero Suit section but it's only short so it's not too bad.

I just don't like this one. It's not bad, but it's my least favorite. The world design is great, but it feels too swayed in the direction of sequence breaking and that puts me off. I don't struggle with going fast in this game, infact, I've done speeruns many times, but on a casual level, I find this game to be very dull honestly. I think the lack of proper Metroid atmosphere really screws this game over. The areas are too bright, colorful, and it just doesn't feel isolating. The zero suit samus section is fun on a first run, but boring on subsequent runs, which this game highly encourages you do. I'm not a fan honestly, which upsets me because it has the control to make it self the perfect metroid game.

i cant complain about it. great reimagining of the o.g. metroid. stealth section is doody but the victory lap has great music tho

so what is the one mission exactly?

The original Metroid has been obliterated by the passage of time and in many ways needed a remake. Zero Mission delivers everything you've come to aspect from a Metroid game, great atmosphere, tight gameplay, memorable moments/set pieces, thrilling boss fights and a incredible sense of discovery. Even when you think the game's finished, it throws you a curve ball. It doesn't reach the heights of Super Metroid but it's very Very close. I'll defiantly be replaying this one.

infinitely replayable, lotta people shit on the game telling you where to go like fusion, but those are ignorable and the game is basically as open as super metroid. it was my first metroid and itll continue to be my favourite 2D metroid.

A great start to Samus's adventures. They even added an extra feature after finishing the game where you can play it reimagined as an NES game pret neat.

they don't make remakes like this anymore

The best 2d Metroid game because you can beat it in like 3 hours and get past all the stupid metroid game bullshit

Might be the best 2d metroid

Um bocado linear demais para meu gosto mas com um pacing que o torna viciante. O "poslúdio" está bem catita.

My fav metroid game, fucking FANTASTIC

Feels like a great introduction for Metroid, even though the last act feels slightly off.
