EHHHHHHHHHH. I love the setting but this game could've been SO MUCH MORE. Then it is. The game initially was absolutely monstrous in size when in development, but, they didn't have the time or money to make that full vision and instead opted for this slimmed down product. Not bad by any means, but the original Bioshock Infinite could have truly been something special.

Yeah I said it. This game is the best of the 3. Not even a question, the absolutely amazing vibes of being one of the ICONIC Big Daddies you see across the first game and allowing this game to humanize them as these tragic characters immediately made me feel so bad for murdering any in the first game. The story really does hit the right notes expertly.

The best atmosphere and setting of any game I've EVER played. I fucking love rapture, every single thing about it. Genuinely. There is nothing I love more then exploring the decrepit underwater wondercity and seeing how much decay has set in. It is truly breathtaking. Andrew Ryan is also such an interesting character. The ending as a kid left my jaw on the floor.

This game is so boring. Its not bad like people say. No, its actually quite fun at times. And probably more so with some friends, but god its so dull. What made Borderlands 2 work was that it felt like Handsome Jack (and his VA) were having the times of their lives in the game, it felt like you were just along for the ride whenever he called you and it honestly just felt like they let the Voice Actor just riff his lines (in the best way possible) and it made those quieter moments of the game so much more tolerable. This game does not have that, the twins are fucking so unbelievably boring and just function as a lame twitch streamer joke every time they are on screen or calling you. Jack wasn't just a diamond encrusted one trick Butt Stallion, he was an actual complex character in the broader narrative of the story, seeing him slowly unravel as you get closer to the end. This game just never had that whatsoever.

It's actually really good? People seem to overlook this game for City, Asylum, and Knight. But this game is very criminally underrated. I think being able to show the origins of some of Batman's villain's was such a unique opportunity for some fantastic story telling. They do this MOSTLY well. Some characters for sure get more sheen and shine then others do but all in all, this game is great. The VA's for Batman AND The Joker were so good and so refreshing, I would love for them to reprise their roles down the line again for a game.
Its okay. I miss the full missions like they had in the complete saga. This game feels like it really misses out on that big time. I sure like the hub worlds and think they're really neat, but I just miss pure missions. The hubs don't do it for me. This is totally a five stars for someone else though, I can see it, if that is the way you like it, this game is amazing.
