The insane grind this game and mechanics being a bit clunky at times and repetitive by the end dropped this game down a bit for me. Side content wasn't very compelling and the story is far too expository even for yakuza. Bosses, long battle levels, probably the greatest ost in the series and general combat are what keeps it afloat for me. Still enjoyable for the most part, but trust me and don't bother going for the plat.

Hyperfixated for about a month, pretty fun to mess around in. Even a few years after release, the ranking system seemed pretty solid. It felt great to progressively learn the ins and outs of my character, one of the best games for constant learning and strategising with your character, though once i got into higher level play i lost interest. Lack of a tutorial was pretty funny, but i didn't mind as there are some great guides out there.

addictive. Turns a simple gameplay loop into something that rivals Minecraft's. Made some good memories with friends on this game, and also fun to play on its own

Dumb fun. Really quick to the point, enjoyable story and satisfying beat em up combat mixed with some sandbox shooting mechanics. Solid side content with little fluff and a fun plat (DLC is also pretty good). My standard for what an open world game should be

Was debating putting this at 4 stars, but the innovation this game presents prevented me from doing so. Really fun with other people and has great gameplay mechanics that change often enough you'll never get bored. Level design and bosses are also great and intricately made with multiplayer in mind. It works well in tandem with the passable story, but the experience is enough on its own to be fantastic.

RPG elements are solid, but the game was undeniably a buggy mess on release and the core shooting gameplay wasn't for me with the balancing being all over the place. Didn't help that the game ran like ass, but most of the side content was engaging and fun to explore, and while the story was on the shorter side i enjoyed what it offered but didn't gain much from it in the end.

Game design here is great, and hitman as a series is one of a kind. The levels here were fantastic with great scenery as always and still came up with new ideas that were interesting and engaging. The end of the story was a bit linear and had an eh conclusion but very little amount of people care about the story of these games anyway. Great overall

This game is wholesome 100 and has a fantastic cast that you get to see built up over the course of the game, similar to other RPG's. The story was engaging and ichi is a lovely protagonist that fits the series wonderfully, and though i have some gripes with twists later on in the story, it manages to have that yakuza charm nonetheless. The side content was a mixed bag, with most of the minigames being lacking and not very in depth for the amount of time the game expects you to play them, but with some charming substories and a great party system that has you consistently interact with your group through general interactions as you explore the world. The new combat is a breath of fresh air, and while i think it's severely lacking in variety or in encouraging the player to think, it is a fine ground level i hope to see the sequel expand upon. Most bosses aren't too engaging except for a handful of great fights, but general enemy variety is great and has a silly side to it. When I say this game is carried by its charm, I mean it.

An overhated game. Still has its flaws

Really short and a lackluster remake in my opinion. They cut out a variety of areas from the original, reuse most of RE2make's mechanics and have streamlined the game a lot, so there are quite a few scripted sections. For the main selling point of the game, i wish Nemesis was more prominent in his MR X form as it's when he's the most threatening to the player, but otherwise this is still enjoyable. Feels like DLC to 2 if anything, and definitely not worth full price.

Atmospherically, i love this game. Gameplay wise? not as much. Story is half and half. played it as therapy during some tough times so it gets extra points. Also, kojima has great music taste

Enjoyed this game despite the controversy surrounding it. Improves on the last game's formula in most ways and i loved the RPG elements. The story is awful but i played the game purely for the nemesis system anyway, so it doesn't matter to me much. I liked the variety of maps and the siege system, along with all the upgrade systems and especially the improvements to the nemesis system. Has some pretty standard arkham combat, and everything else is pretty poor. Carried by my love for the nemesis system

Pretty mediocre mechanics and story. Dino's are cool and have badass designs.
