The funniest game I played in forever

Don't play if you are allergic to fun

Iron Lung is a masterclass in suspense with incredibly thick atmosphere and superb gameplay idea.
It keeps you on your toes for it's whole 2h duration. Szymanski does not miss.

Your friend's who peaked in High School favourite video game

Yearly replay of HL done, still 5/5.

Kojima made some good games before he became Twitter celebrity.

Jusant is a pretty big surprise for me. I am not a fan of Dontnod but I love games with narrative beats and approach to style like Journey, Inside, Abzu.
Make or break for a game about climbing is climbing, and I am happy to report it is really fun all the way through the end. Even the basic "R2 for right hand, L2 for left hand" would be cool enough for 3-4h duration of Jusant, but each new chapter introduces new mechanics, new harder to travers through terrain. Each biom has unique style to it and story of people who used to live on the mountain is fun to follow.
Game is also very responsive to control and music is used in an amazing way to make all those grand moments more special.
There is some jank to core gameplay and I had 2 instances of not knowing where to go for a brief minute because some of the texture work can be too low so you think surface is not climbable.
Really good game.

First truly incredible story in games since Disco Elysium came out.
Remedy at peak of their creativity.

It's good, very good in some aspects.
Let's start with good stuff.
Traversal is better than ever, it is so entertaining and addition of wingsuit was a 10/10 idea, going from swinging, to gliding to nose diving and at the last second shooting web again never gets old.
I am pretty big fan of how they handled boss fights overall, they no longer rely on just finding a weakspot, doing something 3 times- gg you won.
MJ segments are also improvement over 1st game.
Game is ridiculously impressive with it's tech and ability to load all the assets without a single hitch, and fast travel speed elevates this wow efect even more.
Characters were mostly good, with ok dialogue and all of it was well acted with some typical marvel cringe stample all over it, highlight was seeing Peter and Harry interacting with each other.
Almost every single main mission in this game is a set piece, which is really impressive (impressive how deep Sony pockets are) but my brain was just shutting off after #15 big building collapsing while you are in an incredible gameplay segment of holding R2 to run.
Combat is whatever from mechanical standpoint. It is very very flashy and the tech Insomniac uses to make those animations blend so well together is impressive, but overall combat boils down to waiting for your abilities to recharge. Stealth is totally useless especially with how OP dodge. Skill tree in this game is just lazy, with most attack skill being "hold Square to do this attack, hold triangle after jumping" wow riveting.
Side content is pretty ok for the most part. Yes, it is Ubisoft checklist, but thanks to traversal being so good and combat being ok, it is still fun to participate in them. Standout quest was definitely Howard's. One of rare moments I felt some emotions from this game storytelling.
The thing I am most surprised about is how buggy this thing is.
When I boot up a Sony first party game I at least expect mostly bug free experirnce and especially from Insomniac's because all their previous game were not only tech marvels (hehe) but were bug free.
Here, I had game glitching out so many times. I got soft locked around 5 times and had to reload saves, I felt through City map twice, I had audio missing, I had scripts not playing correctly in scripted sequences and hitboxes on new late game enemy type were just horrible.
I was also very disappointed in Kraven which is so one dimentional. His only purpose was to set events of this game in motion, what a waste, especially when you compare Kraven to some really well done villains from first game.
Venom is whatever, sequence which introduces him is really dope and one of the highlightes of whole experience.
If you loved first two SM games you will most likely love this one as well, if you didn't, SM2 won't change your mind.
P. S
Insomniac, in SM3 get rid off Danikakast, holy shit it was so bad.

All killer, no filler.
Every single stage is full of charm and ideas, levels are tightly designed with secrets, optional wonder seeds and optional exits. It's art style is charmful as ever, badge system makes replaying levels more fun.
Only thing going against it are bosses.
Ohhh man this game is so great, Pizza Tower 2 has arrived.

You are skating on a ramp and do simple tricks while lofi music plays in the background. That's the game. I paid less than a dollar for it.

I finished BG3 almost 3 weeks ago, and since then I started new playthrough, in Act 2 now with totally different choices than my first go through.
This game is simply mindblowing.
It is the closest cRPG ever got THAT close to tabletop experience I had with my brother and his friends years ago.

The best thing about this title is how dense it is. Every square inch serves a purpose, all quests are incredible, well written with choices which will question your morality and consequences you sometimes won't see even until Act 3.
Second best thing are companions. This is the best squad in any game ever. How they are all conntected with main story, how well they are written, how much dialogue they have.
Seriously, it is RIDICULOUS how much dialogue there is. And it is all so damn well written, with incredible lipsynch and small muscle twitches on character's faces.
I could go on and on about how this game is a new standard for RPGs and video games as a whole, but you all saw the praise.
Music is incredible, combat is deep and Tactical, amount of Races and classes and how they are different from one and other is ridiculous, replay value is off the charts.
Atmosphere, graphics, all incredible.
Main thing going against this game were bugs. And I say "were" because Patch 2 fixed all problems I had on my first playthrough. Act 3 performance is rock solid, zero crashes on 2nd playthrough, no freezes. And knowing Larian's history with supporting their games, it will just get better and better from this point on.

Just play it, it is that good, and probably even better than you imagine by Reading all those vague ass reviews, because every single playthrough of this game is and will be different, and it is all so damn fucking good.

I was in a mood for some platforming goodness before Mario Wonder launch and I picked DK TF again.
GODAAAAAMN, Perfection in almost every way imaginable.
From incredible controls to every stage feeling different from the last.
And don't get me started on soundtrack, it slaps.
I so so wish Retro after MP4 will return to DK franchise yet again :(

Cocoon is a triumph in game design.
Less you know, the better before playing it.

Patch 2.0 fixed base game and Phantom Liberty delivered truly spectacular experience on it's own.
