mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm a good wario land game

Actual perfection, at least from an auteur's point of view. All of its parts work together completely seamlessly, never relenting on an atmosphere that does genuinely feel like a constant fight for survival in a place you're completely transported to. It even leaves what would normally be completely frustrating trial/error moments as intentional think-fast-on-your-feet segments. Combining all of the non-death cuts you get one full non-stop feature of you barely making it by at the skin of your teeth.

Influential for sure, good enough even now to reflect on and play, and impossible to divorce from what has come from it. It's as aged as the art-style, of which comes off as p nice.

I love me my anti-capitalist breakdowns especially with an aesthetic this strong and a core puzzle idea so intertwined with said aesthetic that it itself requires large amounts of praise, but this puzzler in many ways underwhelmed me. A lot of it to me, is due to the difficulty or to be more clear, how obtuse solutions can be at times. And at the same time, the puzzles also become pathetically easy past the halfway point. I found myself more often than not going through the motions. I was certainly in the zone a lot of the time, it's incredibly competent even with the large amount of cracks in the seams that irk me, but any recommendation I can do of it comes with hesitation.

It's a competent goodish puzzler that mostly holds up due to incredible story meets gameplay systems, and I can recommend it just on that.

i wish people would stop talking about the ending. the final fantasy vii remake is so much more than its ending.

doom eternal was good enough that i stopped playing anime games for the duration i was trying to complete it

Cute quirky little fun adventure game with lampooning Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy. It don't really say much about them that you haven't already read or thought of yourself, if that's what you were looking for. Overall, nice artstyle, fun organic world puzzles and a cute ending (at least the one I got).

the undertale of visual novels, and thats a bad thing

i hate this game but if you talk shit about it i will probably strangle you

imagine if galaxy 1 was the funnest shit ever and set inside a cardboard box. that's this game
