This game may be rough around the edges, sometimes enemies dont give you enough time to react, the performance isnt the best etc, but these are issues that are dwarfed by what i loved. The combat, the dialogue and story were all top notch and the overall presentation was so stylish and oozing with love

I had a really good time with this! Persona 4 felt overall very fun. The day to day tasks were neat and I loved the characters (Nanako is bundle of joy). Combat was really good too. The could be times where it felt like you were just slogging through the days but these moments were rare. The soundtrack is stellar and among the best you will hear in a game. The weakest part by contrast were the dungeons, these probably were the worst in an rpg I've played. The randomly generated layouts are boring and had no real charm to them, and were annoying to backtrack in since the layout would reset. The reason this doesn't weigh the game down too much is because the rest was so good and the dungeons didn't last too long and weren't too tough either. Overall a very good game which I recommend.

Super strong followup to the original. Builds on it very well. Dixie is very fun to play as with her hair propeller although it is a feature that makes her clearly much better than diddy. Each level feels distinct yet makes sense within the world. Overall a real achievement of platforming and should be played by anyone interested in the genre

Tales of Berseria is overall a fantastic game and for certain is an all time favourite of mine. The story, world and characters are all top tier. The cast especially is the best i have seen in an RPG, each is fleshed out and are not flat. It is a joy to see them interact and talk. THe gameplay too is overall very fun, the quality of life in this game is really something with the ability to instantly retry boss battles being a feature that should really be common place in rpgs.
Of course this brings us to the issue of the battle system which while not bad is certainly the weakest part of the package. It is a fair departure from the pervious tales games I have played and feels rough around the edges, especially when you have to fight a fair number of enemies at once. That said it was not anything close to a dealbreaker for me but it must be said this is a smudge on an otherwise stellar game. I full heartedly recommend

This game was absolutely brilliant. The story and characters were amazing to watch unfold. Loved Ayumi especially. While the gameplay is not really different to the first, I did find myself less stuck and it was overall less cryptic which means they did make some changes to make it more streamlined. This is one of the finest narrative experiences Nintendo has to offer honestly. It was worth the 32 year wait to see it localised.

Really good game, I liked the general flow of the gameplay how it didn't always tell you what to press unless something new came up. It could get cryptic at times but it was never too bad (Nintendo life has a very helpful guide if you get stuck). Story was really interesting and the twists were exciting, characters were neat especially Zenzou and Ayumi. Overall recommended, esp if it goes on sale

Fantastic games, each one is great and full of character. Great dialogue and stories and it is exciting seeing the plot unfold in the court and during investigations.

A really fun time! The battle system was very fun, as you would expect from a DQ game. Music was also very good. I very much enjoyed the way the story was structured, with the first 4 chapters each focusing on a different group of party members. It was unique and great to get a deeper look at the party members. Their personalities were also fleshed out very well by the party chat function. Story was not too deep but Psaro is probably one of the best dq villains. Finally the game is not too hard nor did i ever feel i had to grind anything more than a level or two

A really nice time! I think this rpg was one of the most pleasant i've played, the overall vibe and aura were lovely. The game is not that difficult (except for the final boss which is a bit of a spike) making it very accessible for even those not too into rpgs. Great music as well, my favourite song is 'rainy season wheat wind'. Worth a play for sure

This probably has the best story of the Tales games I have played yet, it is emotional and hits all the right notes. It also has some really good characters such as Jade Curtiss. gameplay wise it isnt my favourite tales game, navigating the map in the tartarus was not fun. That said it was overall fun and its reccomended!

Probably the most balanced of the Tales games ive played. Its got a great story and characters, fun combat and moment to moment gameplay. I highly recommend it if you are curious about the tales franchise but are unsure where to start

As far as retro rpgs go, Dragon Quest III must be one of the ones that has aged the best. Of course I did play the mobile remake but you can tell the core game is the same as it was in 1988. It is very good, i love exploring and the party design feature is very well made. It's fun to go around ad the game does not require any grinding. Overall a very good time

Pretty good game! It's cute and plays well, the story and characters are not deep or anything but does it need to be in a taiko game? The battles in this game are unique and fun and make me wish for more rhythm rpgs

It's pretty fun if you're playing with mods like Kaiserreich or TNO, that said the base game isnt bad but does feel a bit empty in comparison to the worlds the mods create

Absolutely fantastic game for what it is. So much charm and detail in the character dialogue and animations. Controls are great and the ost is a lovely collection of chiptune versions of iconic themes. Olympic mode is a also a great side mode. 100% recommended if you are even marginally interested
