Please, play this game without spoilers. Its one of the greatest indies of lately.

Also, it looks like a David Lynch thing

Dark Souls is a very important game to me.
I first started it in a period of my life of very uncertainty, and i ended up loving every second, explorind every nook and cranny, aiming for all achievments, experimenting with builds. Today, i know this game in all its corners, all its errors and right choices. Even if its imperfect, is one of my most influential and important games.
I do think it expresses itself perfectly, even if as a game it is not perfect. Its a great experience, and you should play it.

This is a game that values imersion more than polishing its mechanics. It can be good, and absolutely is what kept me invested, even if it is a grind mess. But it also can shy away any newcommer which makes this game very difficulty to recommend.
The combat is great, and evolved everything in the series so far. At the same time, navigating through the evolution lines never been so grindy, and it lacks some good content from its predecessor.
Even so, the exploration and open world still feels great, the sense of adventure N.O transmits is unique in many ways. It also has a problem with its rosters, having too much recolors, but overall it has the most unique monsters, and some unlockable beating certain quests!
One of the most unique and my favorite PS4 exclusive, give it a try if you love Digimon or monster games.

NOTE: Play it on easy mode, the difficulty setting is broken, and easy is actually the normal difficulty in this game, which overall only asks less grinding as the biggest difference, the fights stay the same. Do yourself this favor.

Nocturne is a true masterpiece. It achieves the peak on what a game can do with the medium it is in.
The difficulty and level design are opressing, but in a good way, to make you feel in a desolate and desperate world.
Without spoiling too much, Nocturne is a game about ideology, and finding your purpose. The message its great, specially in the Neutral or True Demon Ending. I cant recommend it enough to everyone that loves videogames and JRPGS.

Probably one of the best 3DS games i ever played. It evolves everything the original Digimon World games had to offer, it has an extremely diverse an fun to explore world, with tons of things to do and interesting side quests.
There's optional dungeons, postgame content, new playable characters, battle facilities to test your monsters against NPCs or online players, everything is here. This game is such a joy, it can even be better than the PS4 World Next Order.
Only things that prevent me to give this game 5* are the combat system with terrible A.I, and the lackluster roster of Digimon, missing key creatures like Terriermon, for example.
Other than that, Re Digitize Decode is a gem, and if you like Pokémon and are a bit frustrated with the recent spin of the series, i believe you will love this game.
Keep in mind the 3DS version has more content overall.

This is the worst Pokémon game i ever played.
The game has 0 factors that can make a player bound to it. Pokémon are treated like disposable trash here, even if the message of the franchise is to bond and be friends with them.

note that, i dont like puzzle games but Catherine literally made me like its puzzles because i was too fixed on the plot
I played it with my fiancee, and it could not have been a more powerfull experience.
Catherine touches on real problems adult people have, while keeping that supernatural vibe Atlus always gives us. Its such a nice work, id love to see more titles like this.

This game literally killed the franchise. F*** autolock.

Please play Breaker 3 if you know whats good for you.

A fine game.
It has a nice gameplay, but it does not try anything unique. Sometimes i feel as im just a passerby watching a movie. Its a totally waste of the videogame medium as a whole for me, but wathever.

Such an unique and powerfull masterpiece. Its hard to put on words, but this game is pure art, and it does the best with the few it proposes.

One of my favorites JRPG of the last generation, SMT IV maintains all the essence of a SMT game, but sadly its not as experimental as the early entries in the series.
This did not hurt me, the game is really great, specially the combat and dungeons.

An incredible powerfull experience. The gameplay is not that great, but the game is really unique and beautifull.

All you do in this game is press foward, and A button.
The plot is trash, the level design is trash, there's little to no interesting thing, and the real 2 things that keep this on its foots are:
1- its fun to collect the monsters
2- its a pokemon game, people would buy it even if it commited genocide, and they would defend it.

Probably one of the most painfully mediocre experiences i had. And sadly, i once was a big Pokémon fan.

2016

This game kinda surprised me, becuase the first time i ever saw it i did not give a shit, but sitting to play it i had a great time. The level design and gameplay are great, its a great way to translate Doom into the current times.

My favorite 3D platformer. The gameplay is smooth and comfortable, the level design is amazing, the soundtrack is great. You should play it right now!
