First Light has an interesting gameplay that is suited best for being short, it's fun to run around the city and do the tasks, both the length of the game and the city are the size they should be.
Other than that, Fetch is a very cool protagonist with a good narrative, but the villain itself and the overall narrative is as cliche and weak as you could think, just seems lazy to me.

Sweet little puzzle platformer with interesting puzzle mechanics, while also being a game with a heartwarming narrative, giving your journey solving puzzles through this world a delightful touch

As my first Paper Mario it was a great surprise to see how creative and fun the writing was, with moments of true laugh and veeery sad ones (you know which ones), that was a delight.

The puzzle system is good, the boss fights were very interesting and sometimes i needed some time to figured it out, the things is, apart from that, the game drags this system for too long with random repetitive encounters that honestly i just wanted to avoid it, it wasn't even a puzzle anymore.

So yea, really good writing, good "combat" system, but only well executed on the boss, the game would be better if it were shorter, and also, let's stop with random encounters in any game, it's just not good

Fells like a game that tries a lot of different things but doesn't really know where to focus, so nothing is really at it's peak. The same goes for the story, being a detective is fun, but mostly when they stick to old or regular cases, the twist of the game itself fells out of place, a fun game but it's rough around the edges.

It's like a good marvel movie, it's fun, action packed, good characters, but in the end you won't be remembering the story for a long time.
The open world is like a good 3 hour plus movie, at the beginning is neat and has a good line tracking everything, but by the time you're 2 plus hours in, the same stuff is kinda not that fun and new anymore.

it has good Golf, also good story, seems about right. But a very charming and entertaining indie game with a lot more that you would imagine, it's a hole in one.

A short but sweet puzzle game, with a heartwarming message, adorable characters and the care in every detail that has been with the studio since monument valley.

The Last Of Us was always a game about characters, writing and acting, a game where you go trough a world of hurt in a journey, where your characters learn and grow as people, even though their believes will prevail to the last of it. And that was what made the first game one of my favorites, it truly is about the narrative and it delivers in every aspect.

Now here. it's still a excellent game, it has probably the best acting of any game, but the narrative falls apart at the end. At first i was not in the "revenge" quest that drives the game, but ok, i went along with it, and in this journey we learn a lot, we meet new characters that we used to hate, they are so well writen and acted that we learn to like them, and honestly, see that they are just people.

People that can make mistakes, people that have problems and sometimes want revenge even though it's not the correct thing (sounds familiar hun?)

And here is where things start to go south, throughout the story we are slammed in the face with violence, pure violence, there's no reason and no excuse for this, from the beggining to the very end we have to do things that i as the player didn't want to, i really considered stopping and watching on youtube because is just bad. Wonder why some people inside the studio thought the same...

But let's put that a part for a moment, great characters in a series known for the journey and writing will deliver, right? So i thought, but the thing is, Ellie doesn't learn, she is shown again and again what revenge for revenge sake does to people, and she seems incapable of learning, the game should have ended when first it looks like it would.

In the end, it fells wrong on the characters built on the first game, they are really not smart enough to learn? i don't think so. It fells as the player that you're powerless, i get what they went for here "how consuming it was", but we're shown that they are people, and people will learn, except when the narrative doesn't want them to.

I was surprised at first at how well thought the game was, the levels were all very interesting, and all of them have distinct twists. The soundtrack is astounding, it's is realy realy good and even now i listen to it often on spotify.
So all of this made a realy good platformer and i was ready to call it a "Tropical Freeze 2.0" that also had it's own qualitys, like the overworld puzzles wich were fun.
But the Impossible Lair is just not like the rest of the game, even with the checkpoints, is not fun, the difiiculty spike is out of the charts and i wish the game had ended before that, i finished all the levels and will end at that, still recommend the game to everyone, just skip the lair!

The first half of the game tells a short story about bullying and how it translates into the bully's past, while you as the protagonist tries to bring light to a city that was made dark by some incidents.
The gameplay of this part is very unique and has a pretty atmosphere to it, it's simple but well done.
The second half is kinda dissapointing when this mechanics are changed into a more action-like game, but the end of the story is good enough

2017

A short but very well designed puzzle game, where every puzzle has it's own personality and visuals, and that is the best part of the game

Joy, Super Mario Odyssey is the definition of Joy. This game will not stop untill it puts a smile into your face, to me i was happy all the time when i was playing this and came back to play even more when i needed a happy place.

The story is small, but again happy, every world has it's own mechanic and own capture , ones are better than the others, but all of the worlds are amazing. The music on this is so damn god, i can always go back to the Steam Gardens, or even more, to Jump up super star, like this song is the best, it defines the joy this game brings.

Of course, Super Mario Odyssey shines on it's platforms, once you got a hold of Cappy, you can fly thorugh any word in any way you want to, i could play the game the way i wanted to and use cappy to do things i wasn't supossed to but the level designers accounted for.

A masterpiece and a must play for platform fans, i can't express how much this game means to me, just play it and have fun!

The story of this game is what made me come back to video games after a time away from it, it's so well executed, so well writen , even to think about it can bring back memories, Joel and Ellie are on the hall of best video game characters and truly with a story that good, i don't need anything else, a masterpiece and one of , if not the, my favorite games.

Years after been a kid that grew up with Pokemon Anime, to play my first Pokemon game was a delight, so much that i have finished this game like 4, to 5 times (until now), Ruby truly does a lot for the time of it's release and it will always be one of my favorite games.
