Chinese Nioh 3, and maybe it's because I grew up playing Dynasty Warriors, but something feels nostalgic. Really good level design and some really sick bosses, especially Lu Bu. Music was very forgettable, though, and I could care less about the story.

I'm playing catch up and I feel like I am every year with this series because there's so much always coming out but this game was absolutely incredible and Ichiban and gang will be in my heart always. I love what Sega is doing with this series, and I can't wait to play Infinite Wealth.

Side note: This is now officially my favorite RGG game.

Already one of my favorite fighting games of all time. The new Heat Smash gameplay mechanic is addictive and fun as hell, Story Mode was epic, and the Arcade Quest Mode is the coolest way to get someone familiar with fighting games!

Update: this is most definitely my game of the year so far.

A beautifully crafted old computer styled adventure game. I can really appreciate it, but these types of games are not for me.

Spider-Man has had one hell of a year.

VNs aren't for me but I can really appreciate the writing here.

Kiryu is one of the greatest videogame characters of all time. This game is a love letter to him and his story. I cried so much at the finale.

One of the most innovative 2D platformers I've ever played. Nintendo can't miss.

Interstellar: The Game

Honestly, it was one of the most creative puzzle games I've ever played.

I'm not usually one to complain about difficulty but the final Dr. Wily level is ridiculous and took me way too long to finish it.

Square really had it figured out in the 90s.

I loved the combat so much, and the character designs and music were top-notch. It felt like action games during the PS2 Era, which was the best generation!

This game is epic in every sense of the word. It's not old-school Final Fantasy, but we haven't had that with actual Final Fantasy in a long time. My biggest complaint with this game is that the side quests suck but with how epic the main story was, I was able to overlook it.

It's finally over, and to be honest with all of you, I wasn't the biggest fan in the beginning. To much of it felt like Breath of the Wild and I didn't think it changed enough from the previous game but I was wrong Tears of the Kingdom shouldn't exist, I say this because video game companies will probably never be able to reach these heights. Nintendo has put so much heart and soul into this game that I was tearing up at so many moments because of the shear epicness and beauty of it. The fuse mechanic is what I see a lot of people talking about with this game, but I have one moment that really stole my heart in this game, and it's the moment I took the Master Sword. I'll leave it at that, but this game is a masterpiece.

Metal Gear is the greatest videogame series of all time. No matter how many times I play these games, I feel like I've been enlightened. The first Solid game set off one of the most exciting gaming experiences of my life, and I can never get enough. Thank you, Hideo Kojima, for giving all of us this amazing piece of art.
