This is a pure video game. An amazing adrenaline fueled action game. It makes me so happy smaller scale games like this can still come out. The inspirations from stuff like DOOM and even Evil Dead are super clear. It's such a fun game and I want more like it.

Peak video games. This is only an experience possible through the medium of video games. Everything about this game is Perfection. The art style, the gameplay, the music, everything. I had issues at first but once I got used to everything, it all clicked. Perfect.

One of the best Nintendo games I have ever played. It's so unabashedly "Sakurai." You can see all of the stuff he likes to put in games on display. Also the story is fantastic. Lot of great hype moments along with an amazing dynamic with Pit and Palutena.

This is an excellent foundation for future Sonic games. It's just fun to run around and do light platforming. It definitely needs to improve how it handled puzzles as well as general gameplay loop but the core of this game is quite fun. I think it needs more definition and clarity on open world activities, as well as better integration of everything. It's really easy to sidestep the admittedly well designed cyberspace levels by just grinding out fishing. I have high hopes for the next "open zone" Sonic game.

It started off incredibly strong and charming but once that wore off, the rest of the story was a tropey and inconsistent RPG. I really liked playing it, the systems of combat were fun and exploration was great but the story left a lot to be desired. It felt like Rex was just kinda there, while everyone else talked about stuff that has almost nothing to do with him. It's like playing MGS2 without even playing MGS1 (which I guess is Torna in this case).

While I did enjoy my time with most of the game, this is one that has been outdone by so many later games. I respect it for the groundwork it set for the Metroidvania genre but it's got many issues. I hope it gets a remake. It could use it for controls alone.

I love this fighting game. The amount of variety in styles and characters adds so much strategy of how to approach a match. I also really like seeing all the SNK characters in Capcom's style, both visually and with 6 buttons.

It's neat going back to the first game with copy abilities in Kirby. There's individual abilities that later became just moves in other abilities. Overall, solid NES platformer. Some questionable level design decisions but fun time nonetheless.

Is this the best fighting game ever? It just might be, all things considered. This game addressed every single issue with not just SFV but the fighting game genre on the whole. So few games include modes and details on how to properly play the game. Street Fighter 6 is one of the most jam packed fighting games ever. The world tour mode not only teaches the player a lot about fundamentals through minigames and such, but also provides a genuinely fun single player adventure that isn't the bare minimum of copying MK9's story mode which so many games do.

As for the mechanics, they thought of everything to make this the most fun and exciting Street Fighter yet. The drive gauge acting as sort of a stamina meter tied to your drive abilities and EX moves, completely separate from your super meter, is damn genius. It abandons the question of do you save meter for a super and lets you use EX moves for bigger combos a whole lot more. The drive rush mechanic adds a TON of combo potential too. All that said, there is still risk/reward with when to use your meter. When you're out, you lose the drive parry, rush, and ODs. All of these mechanics work together in such a way that shows Capcom was clearly thinking about every single thing and how they interact.

For the first time ever, I actually got good at a fighting game. I'm at Platinum rank and I couldn't be happier about that. In V, I never got past Bronze.

This is the best fighting game. I feel confident in this opinion.

In preparation for Rift Apart, I wanted to go through all the R&C games. For the first game in the franchise, it was much better than I expected. It has a lot of issues that I know will be fixed in sequels, but it's a really fun time.

What a game. It walks the fine line of arcade video game fun and never ending dread incredibly well. Even though the core gameplay and mechanics are all nothing new, everything about Returnal comes together to create a truly unique experience.

I like what this adds to Kaito as a character. It makes Kaito more than the lovable sidekick. That said, this story wasn't the best. The villain was so cartoonishly evil which is such a steep contrast to both previous Judgment antagonists.

While I really like the visual style and atmosphere of the game, I think it greatly suffers from its level design. That being said, it's quite a cool game and I really wish Fallout would take more cues from Metro when it comes to atmosphere and environment.

This is one of those games that gives you the feeling of when Milhouse is playing Bonestorm with his hair blasted back. One of the fucking coolest and hypest games I've ever played.

This improves on the first in nearly every way. Mechanically, it's just so much more fun, across all 4 characters. Visually, it's one of the best modern uses of sprite art. The art style continues what the first started by going beyond the Sega Genesis sendup style but still maintaining what made that style so charming to begin with. Story isn't too much better than the first but overall it is more interesting and voice acting performances are better. I do think the story is a bit over-presented. It almost would be more suited with Mega Man X style blips. Still, it's charming and I'm glad it's there. I wasn't bored by it.

Can't wait for more people to play this when it comes to consoles.
