I dont really know what this game is about or what the story is but I know that I really like this. The movement is so much fun and Im almost sure this was made for Metroidvania fans that are really into sequence breaking. The music also gives me very strong JRPG vibes, in particular .hack. That said: Would it kill you to add a fucking map, even just as an option.
I dont know how they managed to make traversing a Castlevania game so bad. The level design is so shit and the progression is so mind numbing. I might finish this someday, but I wanted to get into GBA Castlevania and this just isnt good. Moving on to Harmony of Disonance in hopes that its a much better title.

Its really bad. Its buggie and broken with humor so below the bar most people would be embarased to show this to any close friends but man does it satisfie my 13 year old edge lord brain. No nostalgia either, pickt it up for 1 dollar at a Steam sale and its everything your mother ever warned you about. Its fucking great, now sign this petition dammit!

I can see the effort here to make something great but its a few decent missions buried under a pile of trash with broken AI. The string of Japan mission are some of the worst levels in any game. I love the soundtrack and atmosphere so Ill undoubly install it again in a desperate attempt to finish it but this truly is a diamant in the rough.

Only 4 stars because I feel they could have found a better way to explain the dodge and ammo mechanic, wich is really important to understand if you wanna have fun with the game. But overall its top tier quality Survival Horror game. Everytime Nemesis shows up its like someone stuck a shot of adrenaline in my arm, such a great Monster.

Played it for the first time last year on a spontanouis binge of the OG games. I get now why this left such a huge mark. Its one of the best designt Survival Horror Games to this day. Add the A and B scenarios, that can even be switched around and you got one of the most fun, replaybale titles of the PS1 generation.

Looking Glass nailed their first attempt at a stealth game, almost entirely defining what this genre is suppose to be. Such a inspired setting of a steampunk, medieviel film noir world. Steven Russels iconic voice is just the cherry on top. And I know everyone complains about the dungeon crawling mission, Thieves Guild etc but I actually like them alot. What can suck my nuts is Return to the Cathedral and Escape. Two bad levels back to back that make me almost quit the game on every replay.
