I really like King's Field 2, but I just wasn't feeling this one for most of the game. By the time I got to floor 4 I was feeling it a little more but not as much as 2. Wasn't exactly a big fan of having to grind just to damage the final boss at all. That slap bass on floor 4 go kinda hard tho.

Still my favorite shooter since Doom Eternal. They hid my favorite metal album in years in this game.

2018

A very fun boomer shooter that is also a surprisingly effective horror game at times. Horror enemies don't usually get me but there is one enemy that jumped me and made my skin crawl. Episodes 1&3 are both peak but I felt like it dragged a little in episode 2.

I love quite literally everything about this game except for the gameplay. It looks great, the story is simple and fun, and the music is incredible. Too bad it controls like a dump truck. Someone on roller skates shouldn't have wider turns than a goddamn semi. You can eventually get used to how it feels and by the end I didn't really have any problems playing it, but it just never really feels very good.

I can see the bones of what could be not only the best Crash game but one of the best PS2 platformers in general here, but they just didn't have the time or money to do it justice. The platforming is a lot of fun, its really funny, and I found the music really enjoyable. Sadly the game is just constantly falling apart and fighting with itself that it is just frustrating often enough to sour the whole experience. In a world where the team was allowed to finish the game this would be peak, but sadly we're not in that world. These songs are gonna be stuck in my head for weeks.

Well, I did it. I've finally beaten ARR. It was about 100 hours, but I've done it. I think when most people say ARR is bad, what they mean is its not as good as the later expansions that they've been playing for years. ARR has plenty of problems and there are plenty of times when I got tired of the fetch quests and MMO filler, but the high points are pretty high. When the story gets going it's really good. Finishing the patch quests has me really excited for Heavensward because what they left us with is really good. I played all of the base game as a warrior and loved it, but I got hit with tank anxiety pretty bad in the patches for some reason so I fucked off and leveled dragoon to 50 and I don't regret it dragoons are cool as shit. Excited to hear the new voice acting, I've heard its a lot better.

If this didn't have the story mode option I would not have finished it. I don't think I've ever had to lower difficulty like that before. I hate the gameplay. Its not that I don't understand it or whatever, I just really don't like it. The story is fine, feels more like setup for 2 than it's own thing. Dorn is cool. Having him in a party of good/neutral was fun. I actually liked Neera a good bit, her quest was fun.

I really loved this game. Its one of those games that felt like it was made for me. I have a couple small problems with the gameplay and I don't have much to say about the story, but overall its great. The soundtrack is incredible.

An incredible improvement over SA1. The music and story are both much better, and the gameplay feels a lot more polished. The space levels are the reason this isn't a 10.

The most 7th gen ass game I've ever played. The more I played this game, the angrier I got. The final boss is just a boss from fucking Fuse. There's potential for like a 6 or maybe a 7 in here, but fuckin whatever man. You can tell no one wanted to make it.

I was looking forward to this game a lot and it actually managed to live up to my expectations. Incredibly tense and a lot of fun. Does a good job mixing the horrors of war and the actual fucked up monster trying to kill you. For how little you use them the guns actually feel really good.

This game has a lot of problems that are obvious and hard to ignore, but it's so ambitious and it has heart and that is more important than just about anything else. Sonic is just fuckin cool, man.

Man, this game is just so much fun. Even if I don't think all the humor lands, and some missions are a bore, overall this is just such a fun game to play.

A fun mix of classic and new Doom. More fun than the former, nowhere nearly as good as the latter, not that much could hope to be. All of the guns feel satisfying and the maps are fun to explore. The blood is a little much, sometimes it obscures the action.

After beating World Tour and putting a bunch of hours into online, I might as well just say that this is the best fighting game I've ever played. Not only is World Tour compelling and well put together, but the fighting itself just feels so fucking good, and I'm not even very good at it. I only have one character in silver and it's just because people don't know how to handle a Gief that only knows how to do an ex spd and nothing else. Hitting the buttons just feels so incredible.
