Atomic Heart manages to be less than the sum of its parts. The world is great, the story is fun, I enjoyed the combat for the most part, and the music is fantastic. I really enjoy how much of an idiot P-3 is. The horny levels are off the charts in a really funny way. Despite this, I just don't feel anything too strongly about this game. I think it's good, but I don't think it's much more than that. I'm curious about what they could do with a DLC so I am interested in that, but that's about it.

This is without a doubt my favorite of the series so far. Even without the eight directional whipping, it still feels snappier and more fluid to control. Its not nearly as stiff as IV. The only boss I didn't like this time around was the silhouette demon, all the others were either really good or just fine. I actually really liked the Dracula fight this time. I really enjoyed the level aesthetics this time around. I liked the more varied locales than usual. I beat the game with the whip and thought it was really fun but I also played a bit with the spear and I thought it felt even better. The music fucks as always. I had a really great time with this game.

The game feels really good, and I think some of the bosses are cool, but overall this game just disappoints. The levels ping pong between being incredibly boring or incredibly cheap with very few sticking out as memorable. Most of the bosses are just incredibly easy and the ones that aren't just really aren't fun. I still really don't like the Dracula fights, they just aren't fun. It does look really good. I like the uses of Mode 7 quite a lot. I'm not gonna say there's nothing worthwhile here, but overall I just wasn't feeling it.

This is the best game I have played on the Switch. I've only played Prime 1 and 3 and I've never beaten any of them so I can't comment on the series as a whole, but Dread is unequivocally the best 2D Metroid.

This game is truly awful, but it is really cool to see scenes from the anime play out like this. The music in the Mario 64 soundfont is really funny. Done well this would be sick as hell. Right now though it makes me want to die.

There is a lot to love in this game, but a good third of the missions felt like padding and just boring as sin. I was actively upset the entire time I was inside of Leviathan. The combat, soundtrack, and story are all really great, but the only times the game came close to reaching the high of the first Vergil fight, was during the other Vergil fights. Most of the bosses are good to inoffensive, but some of them I just didn't like at all. Beowulf annoyed me really bad for some reason, I just couldn't click with him. The fight with Arkham was also so easy it was just boring, the only memorable thing about it was when Vergil shows up and its raw as fuck.

I appreciate a lot of things about this game, but I don't think anything in it is as extraordinary as the internet has led me to believe. It is a hell of a jump from 2, but I don't think its the best in the series, much less one of the best action games ever made.

This is a fun little fishing game where you occasionally have to interact with eldritch horrors. The gameplay loop here is incredibly satisfying. Catching the fish makes my brain release the good chemicals. I wish I hadn't accidentally stumbled into the secret ending and taken the wind out of the story's sails literally right as I'm about to go do the normal ending. If I hadn't done that the ending probably would have had a bigger impact on me but I still mostly enjoyed it.

Ishin is a game that definitely feels old by this point. It feels a lot like 5/0, but on an engine that you can tell the team isn't nearly as familiar with. There are a lot of problems presentation-wise that weren't nearly as prevalent in any other games, like horrendous pop-in and some screen space effects not looking right during cutscenes.

Once you get past the technical issues, it still feels like an RGG game. The story is incredibly well told, both in the main story and in the substories. Every actor brings their all like usual. There was one line at the end where you could hear the booth that Ryoma's voice actor was in, but that was the only time I noticed it being anything but stellar. Most of the substories didn't feel very substantial, but there were a few winners. I really liked the one with the old couple that's looking for a place to bury their dog. That one tugged at the heartstrings a bit. I never bother with most of the side activities in these games because I'm scared of Mahjong, but the rhythm games are a little weak this time around. For some reason they seem to be locked at 30fps which makes it harder to track and doesn't feel as good as it should.

The combat took a bit to get used to, but once I did I was really into it. The brawler style is basically just the brawler style from 0, which is a massive detriment in a game where gear is very important, so it didn't get used very much. The swordsman style was mainly reserved for boss fights, but it felt pretty good during those. The gunman style was really funny, but I rarely used it. The wild dancer style was the one I got the most use out of. Once I got it leveled up a bit, it became incredibly broken. I rinsed one of the late game bosses just by spamming square until he died. There's a smoothness to the wild dancer style that just feels really good. Every move can be canceled into another move and it just feels really solid.

I can definitely see the places where the budget wasn't there, but overall this is one of the better RGG games. Being a samurai is just cool as hell. They also gave me a farm. I spent hours on that farm.

This game is very obviously not finished, so I could not in good faith try to give it a full run down, but as it is I think its really great. Everything that's here is really great, and I'm excited to see how it evolves as they finish it throughout the year. The story as it is right now is disappointing, with literally one voice line in the entire thing despite crediting multiple actors, but I'm confident they'll bring it together by the time of it's full release based on the first game. The ending in the game right now is somehow both over and underwhelming, but I do think they'll pull it out. I've spent 65 hours with the game already and I can easily see myself breaking 100 before it leaves early access, and god knows how many more after that.

Its still better than 2 of the 5 Uncharted games so they were doing something right here. I really enjoy exploring the island and solving the little puzzles even if they are all fairly easy. The combat is solid, even if I think the rifle needed some work. Overall, I still really enjoy this game, even if the story and most characters are awful.

This was a really fun way to kill a couple hours, even if my hand hurts now. Some of the covers didn't hit but overall they were fine. The stories that are told with each song are cute, except for the one really weird turn into a somber story about this girl's father dying for some reason. I'll probably chip away at the higher difficulties over time, it seems like it could be a fun time.

While not the worst game I've ever played, it still isn't very good. It is a massive step down from DMC1 in quite literally every way. I did end up playing both campaigns and honestly Lucia's is much better. Her combat felt a little better and her campaign is much shorter. Her final boss was actually kinda cool. This is maybe the most 4/10 ass game I've ever played.

My feelings on this game haven't really changed at all. It isn't a great remake, and as a follow up to RE2make it maybe disappoints, but its still a really fun third person shooter that is lots of fun to speedrun, mostly because of how short it is. I will say that I really like this Jill. Like a lot.

They did it. They actually fucking did it. They kept so many things I wouldn't have expected them to, and the few things they did get rid of were replaced by something better. The story is much better thought out, giving weight to moments that had none originally, while still being unabashedly goofy. Leon is so quippy and goofy, while still being able to be serious when needed. Ashley actually sounds scared about being in this fucked up situation and slowly becomes more courageous naturally throughout the game. Her and Leon's relationship feels so much more natural than before.

On top of all the story improvements, this is probably the best feeling third-person shooter I have ever played. The parry is an incredible addition. It makes an already satisfying combat loop into something truly next level. The new Krauser fight is honestly one of the coolest things I've played in a game.

This is the new high bar for third-person shooters. It is the best of the action focused RE games. The only reason I think I might still like RE2make better is because it is still the best balance of the action and horror aspects of the series, but this is absolutely the peak of the action ones.

Still probably my favorite RE game. I can't really decide between this, Village, and the original RE2. I've played this game so many times now I can basically sleepwalk through it. I love these versions of the characters.
