It's not as fantastic as Odyssey but it's still a really fucking great game

A really impressively made immersive sim that doesn't really change up the genre all that differently but still delivered a pretty great time.

I don't find it's story nearly as good as the first game but it's overall combat and level design is top notch

I think I got this game in a humble bundle a year back and thought nothing about it until I picked it out of my library for this marathon and man I'm glad I did because Stories Untold surprised the hell out of me.
The game unfolds (haha) through 4 short stories where you as the player use an old ass computer to type out and solve puzzles, these stories range from psychological horror, sci-fi horror, and the gift that keeps on giving lovecraftian horror.
The horror of the game at least for me really didn’t really come from the events that were unfolding but more how your actions and lack of mobility really added to a feeling of hopelessness. I really don’t wanna spoil anything about the later stories but the first one is not only a real standout and probably my favorite; but it also has all the best aspects of the game rolled into one great first story.

This game holds one of my most cherished moments with friends, I know the game is buggy as shit and looks like ass, but it's a Friday the 13th Game, it's weird if it wasn't cobbled together at the last minute.

If you went back in time and told me that there was going to be a Mario crossover game with the fucking Rabbids and its Real-time strategy shooter and it's not dogshit I would've laughed right in your face.

I was blown away at how well of a remaster this was. normally when a PS1 gets a remake or a remaster it wipes away a lot of that classic 5th gen charm and replaces it with a new sometimes more generic art style, but in the case of this remaster it was able to keep that charm the PaRappa series was known for; while also making the game's inpute delay a lot more tolerable making this remaster one of the best ways to play the first game if you're not into emulation.
The only downsides to this remaster is the 4th stage has this some weird impute problem where it delays your button presses causeing it to be ten times harder then it has any right to be. Still that's just one hiccup in an otherwise fantastic remaster.

Technically this is only 2 hours long and the only excuse for this game exists is to hype up Psychonauts 2, but I don't care I'm just glad to have more time in this world.

Honestly I was super shocked at how much I enjoyed this game. It's surprisingly scary, probably just as scary as the first one, it's simulator stuff was pretty neat, and it's a pretty good ending to this series really convoluted and kind of messy story. Plus it was free so come on what's wrong with getting cool stuff for free.

This game is not perfect, and honestly, I'm pretty sure I'm being too nice to this game. But I could tell the developers wanted to make something akin to Banjo-Kazooie, and while they didn't quite make it they got pretty close.

Not only is this just a generally shitty game, but it also somehow burned the UI into my computer monitor, idk how it happened but I blame Bubsy.
