It essentially has the same exact gameplay loop as fnaf 2, but the fact that it's all audio cues makes it a lot more annoying to play since you need to focus more. I need to give it credit for at least being more reactive than 2, but at the end of the day you're still basically doing the exact same gameplay loop for 6 minutes again. I'd argue that the Fredbear sections are the most interesting since at least it has probably the most reactive gameplay. The cutscenes/minigames aren't as good as 3 either. Plushtrap is a stupid mechanic too. This game is honestly saved the most by having only a 6 minute timer, if it was as long as fnaf 1 or 2 then it'd easily be the worst.
I was never a fan of Tatarigoroshi when I initially watched the anime for Higurashi, but it clearly wasn't given the justice it deserved from the VN. This is easily the best written question arc for Higurashi. I love everything about how Keiichi is written here, and the pacing for the latter half of it is fantastic. Keiichi and Satoko's voice actors do a phenomenal job (if you play with the 07 mod), and the sound/music design is just generally a massive step up from the previous two arcs, despite still not having a composer. The ending is just beautifully executed compared to both the previous arcs and its anime version, I can't recommend it enough. The baseball game is my favorite SOL part from the series too, I was really pleasantly surprised. It does start out slow and take a long time to get going though. I'd say the first half is an 8/10, but everything after Keiichi decides to kill the uncle is a 10/10. The final 2 days are my favorite sections of the question arcs.

This has got to be the best port on the switch. Being able to do the multiplayer online singlehandedly improves the game massively, and they also sped up the gameplay itself and added in the dive from odyssey. Overall way more satisfying to play than the original. Bowsers fury is a nice bonus to throw in.

I got infinity percent on this game, so needless to say its got a fun and intuitive gameplay loop. The RNG can be a pain in the ass at times though, and some characters are just insufferable to play - specifically some of the tainteds. Still a fantastic game though, one of the best and most satisfying time wasters I've ever played. If delirium wasn't shit then it'd probably be a 5 star.

It's alright. The voice acting is really good and the artstyle is cute + maintains Ryukishi's good expressions (which is definitely the best part of his own art). Aside from that though it's pretty unimpressive. The dichotomy of cutting between SoL scenes and people being executed is funny but it wears thin after the first 4 or 5 times (the game seems self aware of this, since it stops after around 6 or so). The character's motivations for hating each other are retarded and none of them are particularly great. Some of the lines are really funny though.
The anime version of this arc was really brutalized, the original VN version is significantly better. This is easily one of the slowest question arc though, and I think the SOL scenes are just alright considering how long they last here. I'd say the point where they start investigating Rika's house is where this arc gets really good, but until then it's definitely sluggish (though I still liked it). This is one of Keiichi's dumbest arcs as well, but I give him some leeway. The phonecall with Shion towards the end is the first really great WTC scene, imo, and it stays pretty strong throughout the rest of it. The ending is really interesting for theorizing if you know nothing about the series yet.
