I think this game is very pretty, just the vibes it gives off feel very early 360 BUT ALSO 90's PC? I fucking dig the visuals. Also the soundtrack was refreshing in that it was cinematic orchestral, but way more John Williams than whatever Epic Shit is plaguing movies.

Sadly this game is kind of jank and feels "bad(?)" so I didn't really want to play it.

I simply cannot understand the appeal of the Steam version's character sprites, they actually gross me out. Thank God I can have the original sprites. Other than that good intro, no idea what could happen for 7 more chapters.

It's always interesting to go back into From's catalogue and just see they have always been iterating and never stopped. Evergrace is kind of like them transitioning their first person action titles into third person, with somewhat success(?). The game feels underdeveloped I guess?, or maybe it was design just the amount they wanted. Definitely feels like they just popped out a PS2 game and thats it.

However, it has cool ideas that don';t really get super extrapolated on. Weapons/Armour can have spells attached to them, and they all cost durability (much like DS1 weapons with special attacks). There is a pair of shoes that can hover slightly, but its literally only useful in one spot of the game.

I also really like the stamina system in this game. It is a power bar like Minecraft or From's older titles. Wait for it to be full to do 100% damage with your weapon. It is tied to your health however, so the lower your health is, the quicker it actually takes to recharge your bar. This doesnt affect weapon damage, just makes your swing rate higher basically. Trade off having low healthy, for fast recharging stamina dps.

The main problem this game has is the camera though. Fromsoft had not yet learned what to do with the right thumbstick and made it so that flicking it any direction swaps your weapons. I admit it is better than pressing Circle then Triangle really fast, but man, this game really needs Lock On or better camera control. The secret boss of The Shadow Tower (Oh yes, its also in the game) is in this fucking arena with zero depth perception (Hello 4 king) with this fucker who flies and if your camera gets fucked up, oh well! Most of the time the camera is fine but sometimes it is really really ass.

The story is whatever, not much to it I think. The music of course is wonderful and beautiful and other wordly and godlike. So over this game is kind of not a fully developed game I feel, but its still pretty cool for what it is.

Long time Metroidvania fan, first time SOTN player. Yup, sure was the start of IGAvania's. It's kind of crazy to me to see all the stuff that he reuses all the way back at the start. And seeing all the SOTN callbacks in Bloodstained.

Great visuals, great vibes, great soundtrack. The voice acting and story is awesome as shit too, like that whole last talk with Dracula rules.

I was surprised there were subweapons, and even though I felt like they fell off at some point, they were pretty cool. Shield also was a nice surprise to me that I also didnt use, but neat.

My problems were too many sword weapons, enemies can be kind of fuckerish if all you have is a small horizontal swipe in front. Becomes very apparent in the second castle where they start having extremely annoying enemy encounters. I also don;t like the second castle too much cause every jump is just out of range so its just annoying to navigate. Some bosses are just extremely annoying to fight, especially the large ones because they usually don't have good platforms to jump on.

I'm not gonna say it;s my favourite cause I had plenty of gripes, but fuck its a good ass start.

I fun little arcade puzzle maze thing. The Phillip CDi once again showing presenting me with another soundtrack that kicks ass (at least from what I heard, I'll have to get a proper listen later). The visuals are also pretty good.

The bad thing from what I could (maybe an emulator issue?) was that the music came from the left ear and the sound effects from the right.

I did stop at the 9th level (out of 51) because it was actually like asking too much puzzling or insane timing, but huge difficulty spike and it crashed when I went to the password screen so, oh well! No lifes in this game though, huge plus.

Okay, Did not enjoy Silent Hill 2 that much, felt very empty to me. I felt like I was traveling through area's without any friction for the most part, just sliding on the world's smoothest material. I can't help but compare this to Resident Evil and I think for sure they do better at this in every way, but this provides a different vibe and a more Thinking Gamer's Story™.

I like the vibe, and of course I enjoy the soundtrack more than any RE game; but the story I also get almost nothing out of. I think I just want more time with these people as characters and this game is very short with a lot of Silent Gaming, so I just don't care. I think it makes up for that with the moments you do get being strong(?), thats why Angela is probably the best character, but like I can imagine if I got more moments.

Born From a Wish was cool, it was in a mansion so I got to think about Resident Evil! I liked the area probably the most out of all them. Very short and nothing besides that, but I liked that new area.

ALSO This game lets you fucking FULLY REMAP ALL BUTTONS ON CONSOLE. That shit blew my mind. It also has a baby mode where you dont die, thats awesome; so ahead of its time there.

I really cannot find myself to care about this game. I like the artstyle, but the actual gameplay is so uninteresting to me I finally have to just call it quits.

This is the only Far Cry game I had any passing interest in really, and thats because I wanna be a caveman! I tried Far Cry 3 but didn't really get into it, but I did get into this one. After the intro portions, once you start actually getting to play, I thought it was dope. Cavemen don't have phones or radios so they don't get to blab at me during the world exploration and I just get to exist in the past.

I saw a review that just said to turn the UI off to get like fully immersed and I don't think I could do that for a series I'm totally new to and have no previous context for how things work, but I did turn the minimap off, and I did wish I turned some other things off but whatever. Never really felt that need in any other game, but cavemen don't have waypoints (I needed them though).

I DID Have a problem in that this game has ... DETECTIVE VISION! I hate that shit man, and I'll complain everytime I have to deal with it. Detective Vision is must need for games in the high fidelity age where pickups just blend in with the world, I get it. The problem I have is that it always dims the world so I don't get to look at the visuals before me intended half the fucking game. I would like if the pick ups were just more vibrant so the world wasn't dimmed to make them contrast.

Also I think the stealth in this game kind of blows, very easy to get detected and then the world cascades upon you.

Overall though, I think its fun for a brain off open world.

A cool little demo(?), possibly to showcase a game idea. It is a movement platformer complete with double jumps, air dashes, wall runs, extra boosts when looking at the ground when you jump (that also keeps your momentum), and grapple hooking.

Along with the platforming part is some combat that is fiiiine. It just doesnt have much oomph to it (and the game in general), but thats fine for what this is. This game is also obviously inspired by Nier Automata, just the visuals of the city and the robot enemies with their bullet hell bullets.

Just good to me. I liked the DS feel implanted deep in this games core, thought of FSR for DS too. The way the soundtrack is felt refreshing to me cause it starts and stops with certain themes for certain moments and not like a natural background shit.

My main gripe is I wish I could just make the fuckers shut up and skip dialogue when I already saw it. It made me look up some puzzle solutions because I didnt wanna sit there and listen to them talk again! I'm The Impatient Gamer and I cannot sit there for a couple seconds! I Gotta Game!

Completely whatever game for babies. I've been wanting this game forever because I love Scrat, but I was never paying the price they wanted. Thanks to Humble Bundle for having a Toddler Bundle and I finally got it! Yippee!

Rogue Legacy 2 is fun at first, good first impression, but then it dawns upon you how much grinding they expect out of you. To me, it felt like some of these bosses I was not gonna beat until I just grinded out enough damage/damage resistance to be able to withstand them.

Another problem is the game just feels extremely slow. You want to explore to find relics, money, other important loot, and you gotta backtrack if you miss shit. Dead Cells, for example, has teleporters everywhere to make it easy as shit, and this game they are spread far a part usually.

The gameplay is fine/good depending on what weapons you get, and what relics you find. It's all rng what class you get at the beginning and what relics you find. I didn't find a lot of the classes particularly appealing except the pirate with the surfboard. The surfboard is so genuinely fun to use and it is locked by being the second weapon.

You unlock second weapons through a special currency you get from beating bosses (once each NG), doing the challenges, and completing npc dialogue lines. The challenges are... challenging! and I couldnt even do some of them; and I never even finished a character dialogue line so I never got that. Not only are they kind of limited, but that store locks stuff like this: "Buy 2 more items to unlock this"; just very annoying to get to.

The relics are another thing where I feel like most of them are boring/useless to me. I only want a specific set of them, and If I dont get them, I'm not having fun.

So like, if you really wanna turn your brain off and grind, I guess Rogue Legacy 2 will do that.

Really wanted to play Crisis Core cause I wanted Zack's story (FF7R SPOILER)(especially after the ending of FF7R), and Zack is cool! I like him, he is so genuine and warm. It is kind of mind boggling to Cloud and Sephiroth acting normal; Cloud is a little wimpy guy and Sephiroth is kind of a cool dad. And Zack/Aerith's relationship is so sweet, like goddamn it was cute as hell. I don't think I got the exact catharsis I wanted out of the end, but it was good. Still kind of confused about some of the Zack/Cloud stuff. ALSO the ending thing with the slot machine memories, COOL.

The gameplay seems like FF7R Lite, no command menu, just all shortcut buttons. Kind of braindead but fun, until you get to like 6 star missions, then the game asks a hell of a lot of you. I tried to get to the end game content, but I feel like its just bashing your head against shit until you finally get the end game build. I wanna see that shit, but its just too much effort for something that was probably designed for people to do on the train to work.

You get some armour to help boost the early game, some hair styles for The Boy, a art book, and the soundtrack. Worth if you get it on sale.
