An absolute classic of an FPS, seemingly dated yet timeless at the same time. It carries an atmosphere outside of the one it presents, and that's horrifying. Great gameplay, engaging story, and can run on a potato. You owe yourself to play this one.

Takes the original Psychonauts and refines, expands upon it, and brings it into the modern era. The art direction is INSANE, the soundtrack is even better than before, and the new characters are mainstays in their own right; how they managed to exceed the prior game in the former I still don't understand. A fantastic title that I easily recommend even to those that haven't played the original (although you should it's great).

A fun and engaging platformer with fantastic art direction, a great soundtrack, fun level design, and a wide variety of powers and tools to use throughout each world. The turtle achievement is one of the most ingenious pieces of trolling I've seen in achievement design. Great title, even if it's a bit dated graphics-wise.

2016

Super fun game that properly introduced me to the franchise, and I feel isn't talked about nearly as much as it should, especially in comparison to its sequel. Absolutely gorgeous art direction, gritty and engaging gameplay, and a soundtrack that goes just way too hard. Easy recommend if you have the right hardware for it, since it is a bit of a hog.

A fun shooter built in a retro-AF game engine. Gives off a certain vibe I can't quite describe, but provides a variety of fun modes to choose from. If you got friends and the time, why not give it a go?

Interesting concept of a first-person shooter, but I feel like I've exhausted what I can get out of this game. Perhaps if I approach it with friends I'd have a better time, but for what it is provides a fun experience.

Obscenely fun, incredibly vast and detailed, and in no way is 2D Minecraft. It has more character than modern Minecraft anyway, so it's an unfair comparison either way.

Regardless, a great title I really should play more of.

Fun game with a great soundtrack, great aesthetic which complements the capabilities of the hardware, and provides a fun challenge in the form of the scoring system.

Where this lacks a truly compelling story it easily makes up for in sheer fun gameplay. The various abilities you unlock throughout the course of the game make planning out attacks more engaging and fun, slowly turning the game from a half-stealth title to a full-blown action game. I feel like a sequel should gravitate towards a super-chaotic action game full of incredible destruction and death all around you, but given the ending of the original, I doubt that would be the case. Neverless, a fun time for however short it may be.

Additional note, the Workshop adds a bit more to the game if you're looking for some more campaigns or differing level designs.

I just, couldn't get into it. The harsh nature of the gameplay, combined with the aimless wandering I find myself doing, I feel that the game forms a confusing aura for me. On one hand, the game has a lovely aesthetic and inspired designs that make the game feel like a quality title, but on the other hand shares similar levels of confusing and aimless gameplay akin to the original Metroid, which its GBA port Zero Mission at least provides a much more readable map than Hollow Knight does.

In the meantime, I might either continue this game at a later time or I might just shelf it entirely. Either way I feel a bit bummed considering the praise many people have for this title that I unfortunately can't concede with.

Completed the base game and both expansions, and can confidently say that this is easily better than GTA V, albeit is worse when it comes to multiplayer, but that's a given due to differences in releases.

A great story, gameplay somehow more refined that its successor in many ways, a better map imo, and overall just feels more defined and less bloated than V does. Combined with the atmosphere of the city around you, nothing feels better than cruising around the city, seated in a Comet listening to JNR, all the while listening to the rain pour down.

Damn, this is what games should be.

A short but wonderful title I absolutely adore. The mechanics and attention to detail carry this game hard, but also features fun level design, a good (albeit unoriginal) soundtrack, and boatloads of tools to use to solve problems, encouraging open-ended solutions. Combine that with Workshop support on Steam and you have a title with a large amount of room for future expansion. Excited to see what they do with the Deluxe Edition (apparently it's a thing).

Way too damn fun. Everything is fantastic, from the aesthetic, to the music, to the enemies, to the GAMEPLAY. Everything just works and it creates a miracle of a title that just doesn't get old, and I will continue to play until I die.

I think you should play this. Gabriel wants you to as well.

THE title for making roller coaster simulations. While you can use other software for making better renders, and other titles may have more active playing value like the Roller Coaster Tycoon series, nothing beats the satisfaction of making a quality roller coaster that actually feels nice to see run.

A must for anyone with online friends, especially those who also love board games. VR support adds another nice element, even if you can't customize models.
