A very well made rhythm game with a lot of charming scenarios, personality and flavor, it's just... I don't have much of a sense of rhythm and I ran into a wall in the first half of the game. Multiple walls really, since they let you tackle multiple sets of rhythm games at once. Intuiting the timing from the animation is often not possible, you need to get it from the beat which is hard to me. Still, whether or not I can beat the rhythm games, they're charming as all get out. I appreciate that.

A meaty 3D platformer that I love nearly all of. From the writing, the worlds, the personality, the moves, the way solo Banjo and Kazooie handle, even stuff like the backtracking. Unlike in Kazooie, you can't finish most worlds in one go, but for me that's a plus. Since I can't possibly optimize the game like that, I feel okay just going wherever I please, collecting whatever I feel like. It's freeing. This also makes it longer, which I appreciate. It's an all time favorite! <3

An experiment in shooting games on console that kind of half works. The game is strangely cinematic in places, which is then followed by running through sparsely decorated rooms and shooting a bunch of big ants who don't do much interesting. With the updated controls in Rare Replay the shooting feels pretty good, but it's clearly not all the way there.

A pitch perfect full length sequel to Portal with impeccable writing, loads of memorable moments and enough puzzle variety to keep things fresh for the entire game. Despite being much longer than the first game, the pacing holds up with new mechanics, characters and areas being introduced at a good clip throughout. The puzzles are as finely crafted as ever, and the story is wonderfully fun. There's also the coop campaign, which is as well done as the main campaign. This is a masterpiece. <3

You drive around top down and destroy buildings, what's not to like? It's a tad simple and sometimes the objectives can be a little more work to actually execute on than you'd expect, but there's a nice amount of variety in mission objectives and vehicles that keep you going. It's pretty cool!

A great port of an RPG spanning the ages in which everything is worth doing. Each time you go to a new era for the first time it's like a fun surprise, and learning more about how they connect is super cool. Recruiting a team of folk from across time, exploring, and doing battle is real rad, and pretty much every side thing is worth doing. This version's had a new localization, which I thought was very solid. This game was really hard to put down, loved spending time with it. <3

Sometimes one great idea is enough to take a game from okay to great. That's exactly the case here - though the custom weapon system is a bit clunky, it affords you a lot of options to mess around with allowing you to tailor your guns to your tastes and/or what's needed in the moment. It takes what is otherwise a fairly boilerplate action platformer in the vein of Mega Man and gives you something to chew on as you work through it. It's a quality system worth engaging with in a serviceable game.

This is a decent enough puzzle game which was probably would've made more sense if it had been come out on smart phones a few years later rather than the GBA. I think the puzzles are pretty good and they have enough complexity to keep things interesting late into the game. I also really like how the game fleshes out the world of Mr Pants - they didn't need to do that, but I appreciate that they did. End of the day though, I just don't think it's a good fit for the GBA.

The first part of a wonderfully high concept piece of science fiction that is bogged down by annoying combat and the occasional puzzle you may have to google. The premise of being an autonomous suit putting their unconscious pilot in danger in order to force your own software to authorize use of abilities is a fun conceit and has lots of implications that it explores very well. That said, while the atmosphere and writing are great the gameplay is less so and it ends just as its getting going.

While I loved the first Dishonored, this game really do didn't do it for me. I found the stealth to be a lot harder to approach than in the first game with levels that were devoid of higher paths and enemies smart enough to find you. Going through the levels I just could not find clean ways through them, frustrating me to no end. Also the non lethal options didn't have anything good for combat, which is problem when you can't stealth so good. Disappointing.

A sequel to Lunar Jetman that's a lot more playable and easy to understand, but at the cost of a good deal of its energy. It's very slow paced, flying around the world in your shuttle and looking for stuff. There are a few enemies, but they're pretty easy to maneuver around or shoot down. There's a a lot here to find, but I don't really have the patience to actually find most all of it. It's far too dry.

A brilliant streamlined and accessible MOBA that hooked me for years. The talent system was a brilliant innovation, allowing the developers to present players with interesting and relevant choices for building each character as you level up. I also love the shorter length of matches, and the variety of battlegrounds kept things fresh. Above all while this game was actively updated there was always something new to try, something new to learn. It's really too bad that time is long over. <3

A creative and well put together platformer that, to avoid direct comparisons to DKC2, went in some different directions. Rather than continue focusing on fast paced action, this game mixes in a good amount of more puzzley and tricky levels/mechanics that change things up. While some might be put off by this, I quite like it and appreciate that the game has its own unique flavor. It's lovely! <3

A fantastic action adventure with a lot of gameplay variety! The game has a great pace to it, giving you new forms pretty frequently, which is great as keeps things fresh. Switching between the many forms is really fun as each brings different gameplay to the table and can be expanded somewhat, which is fun. The game also looks great, was super impressive so early in the 360 generation. My only complaint is that there's no post game so once it's over it's over.

For a free pinball game that came with your Windows, this game was a quite nice distraction. I appreciate that it wasn't too generic, and had a little bit of personality to it.
