Amazing action game. Without PC mods its a 4.5, mods bumps it up to a 5 which is why I have it listed as my favorite game.

One of the best action games of all time. The advanced techniques in this make the combo scene a strong one, even over a decade later. The story campaign is pretty weak, but Bloody Palace really saves this game. If you treat it like an arcade game it's perfection.

Everything about DMC4 but even better. Legendary Dark Knight mode is ridiculously fun. The campaign is still pretty weak, but this is a port and you probably already know the story, so it's not a big deal. The new characters are fantastic additions. Vergil is great as expected, but Lady is also fantastic. I'd like to see her in more DMC games. Trish feels a bit too much like an easier Dante, but that's fine since even a nerfed Dante is fun to play as. If she returns, I'd like to see a more unique moveset.

Game good. I just wish it ran better online. When playing with four people, the framerate commonly drops to gross levels. It's still playable, but visually can be a bit of a mess and it becomes hard to discern what's happening.
Looking forward to the updates to this.

Best Yakuza game. That's all that needs to be said.

Not as good as Yakuza 0 or a lot of the stronger games in the series for that matter. There's a lot of bloat and some of the enemy encounters are insufferable. Substories can be kind of weak. Overall though, it's still a very solid game. Just not one of the best ones.

Wow. This is old and shockingly rough. I can only recommend this if you are patient for janky old action games. I watched a summary video for this game on youtube and skipped it.

This game is shockingly good. The new characters are all really compelling, Saejima in particular is amazing. I feel like the game starts to fall apart in the latter part of the story, as things start getting a little too silly and the plot twists become so ridiculous that this game spawned a meme. That being said, this game definitely feels like one of the more heartfelt, genuine Yakuza games. The flaws are easy to forgive because you can really feel the passion from the writers for this game. The gameplay, thankfully, is pretty good too.

I'd like to return to this game but it can get a bit frustrating with how poorly it runs on the PS4.

Good game. The only reason I stopped playing is because the Remastered version got announced when I was in the middle of my playthrough. Whoops.

Great game. I just wish the weapons were a little more balanced. There's too much of a focus on heavy weapons like two handed swords.

I want to come back to this game but it just keeps frustrating me.

Fantastic game. The only nitpicks I have is that Kasumi's inclusion can feel a little forced at times -- her interactions with the rest of the Phantom Thieves doesn't feel right. The battle system is also way too easy. Overall, it's a great game and improves on the original in so many ways I've lost count of it all.

I tried playing this but the beginning was kind of boring, then it ended up on my backlog and I waited so long to play it that the remake on Switch got announced. Oops.
