Interesting blend of detective/visual novel in an open world that doesn't quite hit the mark on anything it sets out to do. Unique setting and world building. The detective gameplay was nothing to write home about, and I didn't feel like I personally had to deduce anything, as evidenced by the open-ended "trial" at the end where you can make any choice you want with no wrong answer. Music bangs.

Fantastic Point and Click Adventure that turns the genre on its head. Breaks the fourth wall, is legitimately funny, and doesn't overstay its welcome.

dos2-crew unanimously grew tired of the game. With no real story progression and fairly simple 3rd-person shooter gameplay, interest waned after about 4 weeks of 2-hour+ long sessions.

Writing, exploration, and sense of adventure all good. Boss battles were fun, if sometimes a bit obtuse in their goals. Regular battling became tiresome and too simple for a game that is 30 hours long.

Wonderful showcase for the PS5. Lasts exactly as long as I want this type of game to last. Doesn't do anything completely mind-boggling, but it's a fun game to play, looks fantastic, has excellent use of the dualsense, and has a well-told story.

Played about 4 hours or so. Taking inspiration from the Dark Souls franchise is the worst thing any game can do in my opinion. While this game isn't as punishing as Dark Souls, it takes too much inspiration from it for my liking. I might come back to finish this one during a lull period, but unlikely.

Fantastic co-op platformer+ game brimming with creativity and ideas, none of which overstay their welcome. The plot is decent, nothing special, but the gameplay is so well done that I don't care. A rare co-op game that actually requires cooperative gameplay between players in order to progress through the game.

Bigger world with a new loot system inspired by Diablo and Borderlands hurts the game a bit. The dungeons are still kick-ass, and Death is a fun character to play as. The story doesn't do much and the overall structure of fetch questing is kind of lame, but overall still a fun game to play, and well made. Dropping down to 30fps from the 60fps of the first one took a while to get used to.

After a rough first 2 hours, this game becomes something better than the sum of its parts. God of War meets Zelda wrapped up in Four Horseman Metal garb, this game kicks ass. I love me some puzzle dungeons and this game delivers.

Difficulty spike in Chapter 14 caused me to bail on this game. Age has not been kind to this game. It blew my mind in 2011 when it came out, but in 2021 it's difficult to play, looks bad, and the story is just so-so.

A perfect platformer. Ridiculous amount of levels that are all incredibly creative. Controls are incredibly tight, and all of the collectibles are reasonably achievable.

Never played the original, but this remake was really well made. The story kept me interested and was well-acted. The gunplay took a little getting used to, but worked well. Graphically the game looks fantastic.

As a big DKC fan, this was pretty much everything I want in a game trying to be DKC, with some welcome modern touches.

Gave it a shot since it was free in the PS Plus Collection. Played about 10 hours. The heist gameplay was fun, but I had no interest in the day-to-day stuff. Found the story to be obnoxious.
