Pretty good until the twist happens, you need to kill a bunch of annoying enemies and they recycle level design

Gets repetitive pretty quickly but i appreciate the humour

It's actually amazing this is a NES game

One of the most beautiful games ever made

The jump in quality between this and the first one is amazing. Also one of the best soundtracks for the NES

2012

Yeah, not really a fan of this one, it becomes tedious pretty fast and i just wanted it to end. The art direction is amazing but it can't carry the whole game

It's a shame the other silent hills overshadow this one because it's actually my favourite. It's the absolute scariest, it has a pretty good plot and there are some truly amazing setpieces (the school, the mall in the dark world, pretty much everything with lisa). I also love the ending where the geography and map consistency gets thrown out of the window, it truly feels like an insane nightmare.
The sonic youth reference will never cease to amaze me

Hell yeah this is good. I love Heather as a character, it has some truly amazing setpieces and I love how this game has actual bosses. I also really appreciate how it returns to the grungy industrial aesthetics of the first game compared to the moodier atmosphere of the second, which is still good but the first one is more up my alley. The combat is incredibly tedious since they just throw a bunch of enemies at you basically all of the time, but at least when it concentrates more on the puzzles the game is still really scary

My politics are based on this game

2008

I've never finished the game, the combat is tremendously boring and the puzzles are pretty bad, but what i've seen of the story it seems really good. I should probably return to this but i don't know if it's just better to watch a gameplay

Old review:
This has not really aged well. The world feels oddly empty and the camera is so bad it ruins a lot of the game. It's a shame because with more polish this could be really fun

Incredibly fun. Everything is better with monkeys

It's a shame for the incredibly tedious task in the middle of walking and finding places where you can put portals so you keep on walking because otherwise this is an improvement of the first in every way. I think valve has problems with pacing in their second games.
