for a game focused on music i.. kinda can't hear the music very well, and there are no options to make the music louder or the other sounds more quiet
the dialogue to get between games takes a lot more time, and since the plot is pretty unimportant, it diminishes my enjoyment of it
it is nice to be able to switch playstyle with stylus and button mode, but i do wish it was possible to do a hybrid of the two.
the lack of remixes that were found in previous titles kinda feel very sad.
in entirety it's very different, which is not necessarily bad, but it is somewhat depressing.
what i do like abt this entry is transparency: you can now more easily tell if an input is late or early, and there's a visible score given at the end!
idk. i was excited to play this but felt very disappointed. if it was my first entry i might not have minded too much, but i know RH has the soul to make a good game and i hope there will be one on the switch's successor

one of my favourite series.
the ds entry has p catchy tunes with decent inputs - on occasion the difference between a quick tap and a hold feels inconsistent, that is merely a skill issue
in terms of difficulty, it has an interesting curve - certain minigames are clearly harder, and they're not exactly ordered. however, the games you Do manage to play well and those you don't is one of personal experience
definitely worth trying. would not emulate outside of OEM.

For every good thing I'd like to say about the game, game-breaking glitches occur too frequently for me to consider it much better than a 8/10.
The overall theme of death being something which bonds us, moulds us, and is irreversible is incredibly neat, however one could argue it is cheapened by the fact that you Can just resurrect at will.
Huge game, I will replay it and discover other stories I have missed out on. Though I am disappointed that I encountered several parts of the game which messed with the story's cohesion.

fantastic use of godot shaders. gameplay elements are explained through experimentation. fantastic sound design and gamefeel. unlocking system keeps it simple for your first time and opens a lot of doors for creative play later on.
might be a little difficult for casual gamers to play and enjoy, but if resource and time management is your thing this is a great experience
