Remix 10 is forever ingrained in my head

Way too long for its own good, had fun for the first 30hs then got bored after doing the exact same thing over and over, up until Sae's palace where I just gave up on progressing.

I'd rather force my head inside of a particle accelerator than play this game ever again.

Even playing it on an emulator with save states can help make the experience a little bit better.
This game ruined my life, pissed on my wife, killed my cat and flushed my country's economy down the toilet.

I cannot recommend it to anyone who wants to explore the Fire Emblem series, and I'd recommend to just read a wiki, because even if you play the game to get to know the characters, you're going to spend 100 turns per map to gain a single support level so you can read the support conversations.

I hope it never gets localized or remade, the only good thing about this game is that Roy is actually good in Smash Bros.

One of my favorite Fire Emblem games, which is a "midquel/what if" of the previous one, Genealogy of the Holy War.
I played it after having played almost all of them (FE1-2 and 3H), so coming back to an "older" game with such an infamous reputation like Thracia 776 didn't give me much hope of enjoying it, but I was wrong.
One of the best gameplay of the series, with an actually good story and great relevant characters (generics only have like 3 lines of dialogue, and there are a LOT of generic characters here).
Leif is one of my favorite lords because of everything he went through before and during the game, and the gameplay also influences this by making the player feel like they're the underdogs of the story, by giving you very little advantage over the enemy, like struggling with gold, having subpar units to replace your fallen allies, letting you steal weaponry from the enemy by capturing them, and also giving you plenty of tools to "trivialize" certain chapters with ingenious strategies that wouldn't really be needed if you had a strong army like other Fire Emblem games.
However, as much as I like this game, it is VERY hard if you're going fully blind (like you should, honestly), and a lot of mechanics aren't really explained due to the lack of tutorials and how guides were relevant back when it came out.
I still would really recommend any Fire Emblem player that has played other games to give this one a try, to leave all the bad rep this game has and to try it for themselves.
WAY better than FE6 though, a game that tried really hard to mimic what this one accomplished.

It's commendable what it does, being one of the most unique games in the Fire Emblem series, but apart from that, it really doesn't feel good to play.
The map are HUGE, and each chapter takes a while to beat. Thankfully, you can save at the start of every turn, but they still feel exhausting to play.
It has a good replayability value, since you can pair up characters, engage in eugenics, or just make everyone a virgin to get "substitute" characters to have a completely different second generation.
Still better than FE6 though.

I only played book 2 since I had already played its remake (Shadow Dragon) before, but it's a good Fire Emblem game.
It has aged a bit, considering it has another remake for the Nintendo DS, but I still think it should be played as the remakes changed a lot of stuf.
Better than FE6 though.

Pretty fun game to play for two weeks with friends before abandoning it for years until you get that itch to play it again, entering an infinite loop for all eternity.
Has changed a LOT over the years, but the main problem I find it is the lack of challenges or goals presented by the game, while I appreciate the openness it gives the player to create their own story, having some meaningful goals would personally improve my playtime by a lot.
I love the game, but I can't give it more than 3 stars until they finally make it better in the next 10 years it'll take for it to be a complete game.

In my opinion, the best single player game made by Valve, which sadly stayed that way for almost 10 years until the release of HL:Alyx.
This game REALLY expands on everything that the original Portal tried to build.
Story is amazing, considering there are only 3 characters present in the story, and one of them is the silent protagonist.
The puzzles are challenging, but not "guide-hard" challenging, which is a great point, making it accessible for a wider public without making it a baby game.

The multiplayer campaign is also a really good addition, making it feel like a new game, having 4 portals at your disposition opens up a LOT of solutions to many of the puzzles.

I really enjoyed it, despite how short it is (it is kind of a demo after all).
A must play game for anyone interested in Valve's catalogue, with a perfect sequel that expands the universe it attempted to play out in this one.

Really cool game, but it's not for everyone. I had my fun just doing silly stuff in between "quests", and it was such a relaxing and unique experience for me.
Sadly, it doesn't really feel like a TLOZ game at all, and it could've definitely been improved for a better experience, but I guess that's for BOTW 2.
I didn't have the time to fully complete it (all shrines, seeds, quests), but it was well worth the time.
4/5 because I had fun but it wasn't perfect.

One of the best games to have simple and mindless fun with friends.
Amazing availability, runs on almost any PC, is often on sale at 90% off, and it was also free some years ago, so if you have an old steam account there's a chance you claimed it back then.
While the main campaign is not that long (even with L4D1's campaign also included), the AI Director makes every playthrough slightly different than previous ones. However, with some help of the Steam Workshop and the talented modders and mappers from the community, you have plenty of new campaigns to play with different skins, models, sound effects, etc.
Now, I REALLY recommend you to play with friends you know instead of using public servers, as they're a huge mess of ads, tryhards, jarring custom content and commands that the experience you get from them is completely different from what it was intended.
As a last thing, the sound design of this game is incredibly well done for a 2009 game. The game plays musical cues whenever a special infected is nearby, when a horde is approaching, and plays a chaotic but perfect theme whenever there's an ongoing horde event.
The voice acting and dialogue between the characters is also really good, especially after "The Last Stand" update that restored multiple voice lines that were cut from the main game before release, that still fit as if they were always there.
