I wish this game worked properly

Probably one of the best remakes of all time.
It feels so much better than Super Star does whilst also keeping everything from that game intact. Only thing I would say that really brings this game down is GCO because it's still bad regardless of all the other good gameplay tweaks.

This game (still) makes me cry.

Outside of the technical issues, I really like this game. Definitely shows that this and PLA were in dev at the same time because there's a shit ton of QoL features from PLA I wish were in these games. The writing is also really good this time around, characters are very compelling. Music is phenomenal, Toby's contributions easily stand out. New Pokemon is definitely more of a mixed bag for me whilst the last 2 generations have been straight bangers but Great Tusk is in this sooooooo it balances out.

Johto is just a vibe. My one issue with this game (and every Johto game) is the level curve being stupid but outside of that everything is really good!! The music is phenomenal and still has some of the best compositions in the series and the sprites are soooooo good I love them so much.

This game isn't perfect by any means but it still just makes me happy playing it. The game genuinely looks nice whenever you're not in the Wild Area, Ballonlea, Circhester and the Slumbering Wield shrine are stand-out places. The music is good except the battle themes which suffer from having awful instrumentation. Story is nearly non-existent which sucks because I really like the characters. New Pokemon were really great. I also got really into VGC before IoA dropped so that also contributes to this review.

Yeah I really like Skyward Sword still.
Dungeons like the Ancient Cistern, Sandship and Sky Keep are some of the best dungeons in the series, my personal favorite being the Ancient Cistern due to Koloktos being one of the most fun bosses in any video game. I love how experimental they were with the items in this game but I wish we got more use out of some of them like the Whip because I think it's got great potential. Story is very good and still hits right in the feels, don't feel like saying more on that. Skyloft is a fun place, it's nice doing the Gratitude Crystal side-quests because whilst they're small they still do a nice job expanding on these background characters. How upgrades work in this game is something they should've carried over to Breath of the Wild because it's really fun to just see an individual weapon you grow get stronger. Controls on the Switch can be a little iffy but they still do a really good job at emulating the feel of the Wii game with a few expectations in certain parts. The big criticism I have is how slow traversing the Sky is but everyone agrees there so I don't have to say more. Overall just a very pleasant game and I do recommend it.

Katana Zero is easily one of the best games I've ever played. The sprite work is phenomenal, every pixel was clearly placed with love. The gameplay loop is incredibly satisfying, which is exemplified by the outstanding sound design & music. Whilst being obviously incomplete right now, the story that is told is very captivating and that's all I wanna say. The game takes ~4 hours or so to beat and is definitely worth the price.

This game is a vibe, it perfectly succeeds at doing what it sets out to accomplish, short and sweet but leaves you wanting more (which there is plenty of!).

I really enjoyed myself here, not flawless but the games good. The atmosphere is amazing, especially in tandem with the music, which does a perfect job setting the mood wherever you go. The gunplay is fun, not really that deep but not something that'll put you to sleep. The exploration is really good and easy to get a grasp on. I did Leon A/Claire B for this and I definitely think doing them back to back was the right move because the game definitely feels a lot more full this way. The one thing I was surprised by was how easy this game actually is, it never feels like you're actually running out of ammo or health items, I don't really mind this at the end of the day because I wouldn't want the zombies being absolute bullet sponges. Overall a really good game that stands the test of time!

It's the most innovative shooter I've played in years (and also one of the most innovative puzzle games I've played)

Doesn't overstay it's welcome by any stretch of the imagination it's just a pleasant time.

This game fucks

The main party are easily my favorite cast of main characters in the Klaus Saga, they're all so well fleshed-out and it's just so enjoyable to see them interact with each other, Eunie steals the show by being the most unapologetically British character I've seen in a video game. EN VAs do a super good job here too!! They were directed super well!!

Music goes hard but that's expected from a MonolithSoft game, the Moebius Battle Theme is probably my personal favorite, does a really good job setting the stakes in those fights.

I don't know how to exactly articulate my thoughts on the story other than I get where people are coming from with them "dropping the ball" after Chapter 5 but I was still very engrossed in the story past it. I fucking adore the ending and I'm ok if they were to just end everything with the Klaus Saga there.

I'm tearing up just writing this review but this is easily one of the best games I've ever played and that's not just the recency bias talking. This game is phenomenal.

When I first tried playing this game I got up to Phantom and genuinely just gave up because I wasn't having fun with it, this was my first time looking at the game since then and honestly? I think this game is pretty well made, albeit dated. The missions are (mostly) good and Mallet Island is laid out in a very interesting way that never truly ends up feeling same-y. You can already see the combat that makes the later games so good starting to form here with my biggest gripe being that there are far too few upgrades for you to purchase as well as the fact there is nothing like Aerial Rave. Music is solid overall, Lock and Load rocks. The story makes me feel insanely weird because even with disregarding future installments, the weird incest-y stuff between Dante and Trish is just eyebrow raising but I think Nelo Angelo was executed pretty well in this game even without knowledge of the latter games. Biggest gripe with the game is that once you get to around Mission 17, the game just kind of gives up on trying to be fair to the player, looking at you Nightmare 3.
Game is definitely worth a play if you already like DMC but I can't recommend it in any other capacity.
