the fine wine of beat em ups

infinite replay value too

super fun and simple moveset that's easy to pickup and play, but requires a deeper understanding to beat the later enemies. highly recommend this one

possibly the best combat in any beat em up, besides SoR4. this is definitely one of those you should only play with infinite lives, but pulling off combos and finding new hidden moves is worth the trouble

probably should've played this before the sequel, but it was a good time nonetheless

such a fun fighter that will (more than likely) never be replicated again.

like virtua fighter except you can kick people off a fucking roof

very fun game

possibly my favorite 3d fighter ever (so far). simple, beginner-friendly controls that can easily turn into combos with just a little practice. rewards perfectly timed parries with instant moves out of them. easily the best story mode i've ever played in a fighting game. i legitimately only have good things to say about this one. play it if you haven't

felt obligated to beat this because it was one of those games that a younger me saw and thought "no way dude, you can piss on people?? i gotta try that", but never had the chance to play.

unsurprisingly, all this bush era humor is painfully unfunny and nearly every portrayal of any person of color is wildly offensive and stereotypical --but you knew that already (probably).

though, when you make your own fun it's a pretty good time. i even made it to day 3 (?) without using a single weapon (which admittedly was not as fun, as im sure they intended). all the weapons feel good to use, especially the shotgun and machete.

idk, there's not too much i can say about the game that hasn't been said. it's a good sandbox to mess around in, and im sure the multiplayer would be fun too.

not nearly as mind meltingly difficult as the other cave shooters i've played. don't worry, it's still tough as nails, but it's no (do)donpachi.

for me that's a good thing tho lol. this game owns dude

absolute insanity. maybe one day i'll make it to the second loop

very high possibility that this becomes one of my favorite games ever. that soundtrack is amazing too

im not too big on the "versus" style of touhou games, but this was still fun nonetheless

yup this game is dope.

the fact that people clear these on one credit actually terrifies me

possibly the least beginner-friendly fighter i've ever played, but the animations and music are great. im sure it'd be more fun if i put more time into it....

but from what i've heard there's not too much point in learning this one when there's other (supposedly better) touhou fighters
