Barring the awful combat, this game is nothing short of a masterpiece. Brilliant writing, an intriguing premise which keeps you hooked from start to finish, fun and interesting companions and a cool morality system. Very fun game!

Cool concept, poor execution
I'm commander Shepherd and this is my favorite game on the citadel.
Even though the ending is lackluster this is a fantastic trilogy and you should play it if you enjoy extensive lore, great characters and a believable future state of civilization.
Oh yeah pls read the codex whenever a new entry pops up. It adds so much to the experience and you get to learn new cool things about the mass effect universe.

on the one hand it portrays a cool narrative where the world as we know it has failed, leaving only our synthetic offspring to pick up the pieces of our culture and values
but on the other hand it's a walking (jumping?) simulator with a few interactive moments scattered about to spice it up
so yeah the setting is pretty cool but the gameplay itself is mediocre
