first time playing the male side of p3, i feel like it holds up decently well. some of his exclusive slinks are very barebones/suffer weird writing decisions and i hate the auto-romance feature but there were some standout ones (yuko and mamoru esp).
i really do think femc p3p really is the best version of p3 after this lol. but i had fun!!! and cried like a baby!!! i hold the themes of this game very close to my heart. this game really gets what persona is about

2018

i'm still playing (and will be for a long time), but its very fun. love the characters

idk i really didn't vibe with this one after all the hyping it got for years when it was unreleased/fan-translated. the pacing is awful, the cases aren't interesting 80% of the time, and the characterization and arcs throughout are confusing.
some plotlines are just dropped randomly to (presumably) be picked up game 2. i just wish this game was better. like it was better than aa5 and aa6 but what a depressingly low bar

hard as hell and ended cheesy as hell too. the overall lore stuff was cool and i enjoyed the new characters a lot. but the main story was pretty confusing bc nothing grounded the story's pacing in context

love the characters and their interactions and how they contribute to the worldbuilding. gameplay was smooth and satisfying, even if it wasn't particularly groundbreaking. black eagles 4ever
CF was my favorite of the routes, and i really enjoyed edelgard's writing.
AM was fine until the timeskip where the character writing got weird and i had to babysit dimitri. hated the ending
VW ruled and was probably the most satisfying of the routes.
i didn't play silver snow lol

had fun at various points, but danganronpa is not a good series lol. i think the characters & their interactions and the overall plot are where this game stands out. cases, writing, and gameplay are weak

this is an incredibly frustrating game for me. it feels like an incredibly sterilized version of all i love about animal crossing. its gotten a lot of new updates since launch, which was interesting upon returning for a little while, but i have just such a bad taste in my mouth from the opening few months. and its crazy to me that even after its final update its still missing content that every other animal crossing game has included? its definitely a good game to take slow (i liked it a lot better when i did), but it still doesn't feel like animal crossing.

i feel like they wrote the big twist for this game first and then arranged the rest of the story around it. the timeskip twist was interesting, but i think it was detrimental to the story and characters because they all had to be manipulated around it to confuse the player.
the main story felt too ambitious, returning characters were shells of what they used to be (and often lost character development), mizuki's overall storyline was muddied from aitsf, and a lot of the somniums sucked! how do you mess that up.
this was like the biggest game of the year for me and it left me feeling so disappointed.

(shenmue 1) a very comforting masterpiece. shenmue's environment and slow-pace story telling with an emphasis on characters is great. i'm very fond of this story and experience

personally find the p5 aesthetic annoying in a rhythm game setting. they released this way too early into p5's life which makes the song choices extremely limited and sometimes also very strange (blooming villain, keeper of lust, and will power???). but the people who say the remixes are bad are lying to you lol

QOL and gameplay improvements that make it so different to play. how did we even survive with bullets that didn't reload.
didn't fix any of the story issues i had with the original game, but there's a bunch of new and retranslated dialogue here that improves certain characters and cutscenes exponetially. the expansion of goro akechi's character in the 3rd semester was so cool to see, even if i didn't like the new semester itself all that much.

this game's endgame is a mess (esp in the last dungeon) but that november heist was so sexy

the songs and remixes rule, and i appreciate the aesthetic choices in this game. wish there was a story that actually had impact, but i enjoy the "social links" bc it gave interesting new characterization to the SEES members and how they interact with each other. koromaru not being playable is a crime

short but a must play for everyone. and i mean everyone

the story kind of loses the plot near the end, but this main cast is so endearing. and the open-world stuff is glorious. nothing better than running around with the bros doing hunts, doing dungeons, fishing for hours, taking photos, trying to crash and flip the regalia, riding chocobos....
