i love this game so much it has everything. awesome music, amazing writing i love literally all the characters so much that i just don't want to do a genocide play through. flips the rpg formula on its head and becomes super meta by the end asking the player serious questions about our actions. its just really good bro

more nintendo platforming action, but with yoshi. i always felt like they explored more diverse challenges and ideas in this game compared to the marios of this era which made yoshis island very unique

shigesato itoi is a genius, earthbound is an amazing rpg that subverted expectations with its quirkiness and fun visuals. the game never lets go of its humor. one of the only games to make me cry, not only because of the final moments but because it ended.

do yourself a favor and play it

i got lost a lot and the game boy color scheme didn't help much, its a prime example of how metroid explores a sense of isolation but its also really bad just play the remake

the start of a great series, felt more like dnd compared to the games that came after which makes it feel really disconnected but also like a classic fantasy adventure to place your friends and yourself without the weird naming stuff in the later games
