at the time of writing, new horizons still feels like an early access game. i cant imagine what it would have been like if it werent delayed. bringing back cut content in updates would be alright if the base game were anything without said content. aside from this lack of content, there are some absolutely infuriating things which need to be addressed in quality of life updates that turn me off from this game so much i am reluctant to pick it back up even when there are content updates. i dont hate new horizons, but i am extremely disappointed with it thus far. i love animal crossing, i love my villagers, and i love the core concept which is why i am so critical of this title; i know it can be better because animal crossing HAS been better. only time will tell if updates bring it up to snuff. if this is anyones first animal crossing game, i recommend trying new leaf to see what youre missing out on
