Not the worst playing games of all time, but games that upset me for what they are, do, have, or haven't done. Expect massive negativity. Sorry if a game you genuinely like is on here (which is likely given some of the choices). Don't take it personally. "dude wants to be different so bad" idk I only really go out of my way to play games I've been told are either good or popular (not mutually exclusive but both of these apply to some) or part of a series I already like so naturally popular or generally well recieved games are on here. Sorry for not thinking Undertale is the best game of all time and having personal reasons for liking it less than I normally would, I guess. Even though you're also still allowed to think that it is; I'm not stopping you.
League up to and including phantasy star 2 are games that actually genuinely upset me for their what they stand for, the game itself, etc. Lower entries are mostly games that I can at least admit have a "quality" to them but I personally dislike usually as a fan of their respective series. Most entries on here have their communities as a major factor (mainly league, dota, csgo, genshin, omori, undertale, hollow knight and tf2).

utterly miserable experience. contributed to my self esteem being as low as it gets sometimes. people I met through this weren't friends for very long and turned out to be pretty terrible people.

soulless overly competitive game with an equally soulless community. usernames and profile pictures feel ai generated and most players communicate LESS than actual bot players. unless it's to flame you.

I've talked about how I feel it misrepresents mental health on top of using it for shock value but my feelings regarding this game have considerably lowered since my initial review but a lot of the issues I had still apply. A friend's said they feel they tried making mental illness marketable with the dream world stuff, and with the abundance of so cute uwu limited stock plushies and recent allegations of omocat not paying/crediting a dev I'm more inclined to believe just making money was a large driving force behind making this game.

beloved childhood game turned into unrecognisable soulless corporate breeding ground for pedos, erpers and groomers that its moderation team does nothing to stop. essentially enforces child labour. Still occasionally play it for its older places (they're called """experiences""" now which idk just sounds extra corporate and soulless lol).

Worst versions for most of the games here. Assets clash and the visual identity that used to seperate most of these is lost.

Beloved childhood game that's become a breeding ground for transphobes and neo nazis. Valve does nothing to stop this. I still play it because the core game is still good and unchanged, for better and for worse.

as for now it's my least favourite pikmin by a huge margin but if someone drops a difficulty mod or something i might come around on it bc at the end of the day it's fundamentally a pikmin game it's just way too easy and treats you like a baby

put me off of soulslike games entirely until I played blasphemous. heralded as one of the best metroidvanias ever yet it's the single metroidvania I've simply not enjoyed at all. doesn't help the fanbase generally claims to care about indie games but then gets pissy when silksong inevitibly isn't shown at directs.

monestary sucks, sorry. tellius and dsfe had menus that had almost all of the same functionality. looks pretty damn ugly yet still eats up switch's battery life, suffers from modern fe support-itus (character development just gets reset between different support chains), completely sacrifices unit identity, mostly underwhelming soundtrack (post timeskip is where most the good stuff is). love you tho dimitri

years of over exposure and people telling me personally "yeah this is a flawless masterpiece with no flaws changed me life also the games YOU like are irrelevant" over a game i initially thought was a 6-7/10 at best really soured my opinion of it. i don't even think it's bad it's just okay and it's probably the only game on here that i don't dislike for the actual game itself

shocker: lifelong zelda fan who likes almost all of the games' narratives dislikes change to an open world format that has the narrative take a backseat (and also allegedly will be what the series will be like from now on)

one of the few examples of a game that I can say has actually aged abysmally. practically all of its issues are instead dumped on zelda 2 by the general gaming community despite zelda 2 actually fixing just about everything
