As of now I've shelved this because I just don't think I was ready for something like this. It's such an interesting and intriguing game and I know when it clicks for me I'm going to love it but there is something really weird and unsettling about this game to me and I just don't think I'm in the right space for it right now. The point of the game is also likely to make you feel that way but I don't think I've ever felt so weirded out by a game the way that this game manages to do so. Barlow is a genius, and the performances and writing here are genuinely next level, but this is like one of the most bad vibes games I've ever played. Everything about it feels rancid and wrong. It was pitched to me by some friends as a game that takes a lot of inspiration from David Lynch thrillers which is obviously right up my ally but the way this game gets under your skin is a little too uncomfortable for me right now. I wasn't ready for it, but I will absolutely return to it when I am.
