video games are evil with numbers
Nothing here!
15 Games
Calling it Mortal Kombat 1 is a sin
Final Fantasy 2, it's actually 4
This is the ninth Counter Strike game
I guess cuz its WWI??? But it's like the tenth Battlefield game
They just skipped the gaps so it went 1, 2, 3, 7. But at least they set the record straight
Not the game with the same title that came out a decade before
This series constantly alternates between numbered and non-numbered entries. Totally incoherent if you're thinking of the numbers normally
This is the third game in the series
This is Clock Tower 2
King's Field 1 was never released in the West, and KF2 was called KF1 here, so we just have 1, 2, 4
This is Exile 2
The first Wario Land game is the third Super Mario Land game?
Yoshi's Island is a sequel? okay?
I respect the chutspah but also what
Honestly even though it's sort of insane I respect the play and it sort of makes sense given the series. You're spared my ire, friend

I think you should put some Kingdom Hearts titles here...
forgot battlefield one, ending it. And as for Kingdom Hearts, which would you recommend?
Bravely Second and Bravely Default II are two separate games.
wait to know about the Armored Core series
We never got the actual Clock Tower 1 here in The States, so they just called the PS1 sequel, Clock Tower, and then Clock Tower: Ghost Head as Clock Tower 2, and then there's Clock Tower 3 which is also called Clock Tower 3 in Japan.
I was thinking about putting AC on here but the way they've done it is sort of weird...

- Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue (bundle)
- Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (NDS)
- Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix (both bundles but they just doesn't sound right for advertisement)

And also, Secret of Mana is in fact Secret of Mana 2, being the first one for the Game Boy (Seiken Densetsu, or Final Fantasy Adventure in the West).
Exile for turbografx CD is actually exile II, and exile II for the same system is actually exile iii. None of them are worth playing
Armored Core is kinda like Pokemon where there's generations. For example, the first 3 games are in the first generation and are very similar in gameplay, whereas Armored Core 2 is the beginning of the second generation and is built from the ground up. There are a few exceptions and spinoffs, but that's the gist of it. Still confusing, but it is somewhat coherent.
Wonder Boy/Monster Land belongs here though. That's true incoherence, although I'll let you decide if it's incoherent because of the numbers or everything else. Also Power Punch II.
