Banjo fans hoping that he got into Smash is the genesis of the term Scrimblo Bimblo, and I think he an exemplar of the term. He's a bear type thing from an okay game that's older than me, but he is indeed a lovable scrunko
Also a part of the creation of the term. Yet another lovable scrunko that MUST be in the next Super Smash Bros. title

Rayman is another example of the pinnacle of Scrimblo-hood. Just a weird dude from a game nobody cares about but has just enough fans that people know about it. Makes the rounds as well every time a new character for Smash is discussed
I had to Google who this dude was which is huge points for a Scrimblo. I guess he's a fox or a wolf guy? Never played this game but there's no way it's good, and he radiates massive Scrimblo energy
If Banjo is a Scrimblo that most people know, Hatty Hattington is a Scrimblo that most people don't know. This game is weird and exactly what I'd expect from a Scrimblo platformer
Ori is Scrimblo-shaped, and I'm not sure there's a better way to describe them. One of the most animals of all time
Sonic is a Scrimblo in every sense, but his popularity has docked him some points. Probably would be at the top of the list if not for how well-known he is. I also think any Scrimblo worth their salt has to have some haters, and Sonic famously does
I picked this game specifically because I think it's Donkey Kong's most Scrimblo appearance. People are annoying about these other Kongs getting into Smash sometimes and I think that counts for something

Original Pac Man is not a Scrimblo, but Pac Man from these games absolutely is. 3D Pac Man is fucking weird. Definitely paying the popularity tax as well, but not many people know about this particular series

Cuphead is a Scrimblo for sure. The art style is extremely Scrimblo, and makes up for Cuphead being decently popular
Yoshi is my own personal Scrimblo and has been for decades. I must account for my own biases however. At the end of the day, other characters may be more scrunko than Yoshi, but none are more lovable

Very rarely are Scrimblos found native to iOS, but here is one such example. Everyone has played this game, but everyone has also forgotten about it since then
Kirby is another classic Scrimblo that people know, certainly one of the best to ever do it
The most Scrimblo of any knights on here. A lovable scrunko even if they are just a weird bug
Plague Knight is such a weird little dude. The best of the "person" Scrimblos- his attire and behavior alone are enough to earn that spot
Most Marios can be left off due to the "normal guy" clause above, but 64 Mario is like a convergent evolution with the other Marios. He is more closely related to a squirrel or chimp than he is to Odyssey Mario or Sunshine Mario

Wario is not a regular human but let's be honest here: he is not very Scrimblo. The Wario platformer games are massively Scrimblo-coded, but Wario himself is not so much
Sybil is cool as hell, I can't lie. She is a weird animal thing from an obscure game, but I feel like she isn't as Cartoon Network-coded as your average Scrimblo
A Scrimblo entirely due to obscurity. About as normal as a Lego guy, but way more of a scrunko
Lego games should've never added voices, the grunts and shit are so funny. They are mostly just people tho, so they cannot be very high on the Scrimblo rankings
Similar situation as Wario, but he's probably just a regular guy under the suit

He's just a little dino, but if people were more annoying about him I think he would be higher. Just doesn't have the juice currently. If anyone is looking for a good bit to do, being annoying about the Chrome Dino would be a good one
Technically a Scrimblo by all parameters set above, but Thomas is literally just a solid red rectangle. Absolutely not a lovable scrunko
