Gold Master Series wishlist

Following the release of Atari 50, Digital Eclipse have announced that they're working on "interactive documentaries", covering titles with particularly interesting development stories and extensive production material, starting with 'The Making of Karateka'. Though I'd be interested in anything they put together, here are some of my personal dream releases.

I feel like a good few of these could happen, Suda and Sakurai are two Japanese devs who do actually seem to love to talk and Tony Hawk just has the air of an inevitable doc so why not Digital Eclipse?

@Psientologist There has been a THPS documentary film, "Pretending I'm A Superman' but it's mainly skateboarders talking about how the games impacted skateboarding culture, and not devs talking about the games' development. I think they'd be open to that, though.
There's some degree of precedent for all of these picks, with extensive dev interviews, behind-the-scenes books, and even very embarrassing dramatised films based on a couple of them. I think something that let us play stretches of a game, while accessing the artwork, earlier iterations and stories behind their production, sounds like a great format for this stuff.
I even got to see some original production material from Splatoon's development at a V&A exhibition a few years ago. Really interesting that they made a team explicitly without veteran Nintendo devs as a test to see if the new generation could launch a new IP as successful as the big franchises, and they totally nailed it.

@87th I hadn't seen that movie clip and OMFG haha

Wish I got to see the Splatoon exhibition, it's definitely one I would love to see an interactive documentary of.
You could have working Tofu mini game, reuse the first Splatoon demo which I believe is quite different from the game etc. plus obviously with that series there is an incredible slew of art and music to enjoy.
