My first takeaway from playing Majora's Mask right after Ocarina of Time is how improved the game feels. The menus are super smooth and the game feels great too play. The mask transformations add a whole new dimension to level design. And the story is the most rich and fulfilling of the entire series. The world of Termina is the lived in and fleshed out with so much to do. Only problems would be the small sections of Goron platforming that can be quite finicky

If you would have asked me even a month ago I would have told you without a doubt that my favorite Zelda game was Ocarina of Time. It's been just edged out by its direct sequel but that doesn't mean it's any less good. The series feels more natural to me personally in 3D. I love the characters and the music and the atmosphere. Only real complaints would be how barren Hyrule field feels and of course the water temple which is more annoying than difficult. I do love the game and could revisit it indefinitely

One of the best narratives in the series, Link's Awakening changes up the formula and make for a great experience. Only real complaint would be the dungeons, which outside of Turtle Rock don't leave much of an impression. And the bosses are either way too easy or very annoying to deal with.
