It doesn't feel like they know what Halo is about. The Prometheans suck

The mission in the skies of Alexandria is GOATED. The fact that both of the games in the series with only the Covenant to fight ranked so high speaks volume on how good of an enemy they are.

I love the streets of Mombasa, I love them so much

If I was purely objective, I would rate it half of a star less because the sections with the Flood are kind of rubbish. But I'm sorry, the first half with the Covenant is peak gameign.

Yes yes. This is quality. Keep going.

I'll never not enjoy this game.

A game about silly Mario design makes me feel existential dread better than any single horror game. Something must be wrong with me

This is a good reimagining of the original, but it's overall inferior in many key aspects. The soundtrack and art direction first and foremost. The OST is nonexistent, and the game is overall extremely dark, taking away a lot of the original's rural area charm, and sometimes even making the game frustrating to play in some scenes of all 3 main locations.

What I found most impressive was the way the village areas were all redesigned to make it seem like a real, compact and ensembled place, whereas some areas in the original were always very out of place. Some iconic areas, like the cable cars, had to be cut down due to this, which is a shame, but I guess at the very least it's understandable.

The story is largely the same. Some characters are done a tad better (Luis and Krauser), some are done just about right (a completely different Saddler, Ashley) but some are very disappointing (Salazar...). It feels like it takes itself way more seriously than the original, which was never really about the horror elements and more about the adventure and the action. I've always thought categorizing RE as horror games was a mistake. These games are very arcade, the macabre and twistedness never takes priority over the fun factor.

The postgame is really cool, expands well on what the original had. Unlocking the cat ears and upgrading all of the weapons makes for some very good power fantasy playthroughs, in usual RE fashion.

The pinnacle of Metal Gear Solid. Experiencing it without knowning anything about MGS, you're lost and you can't play it to its full potential. But after playing all MGS games, what's in there is so close to GOAT tier. The overall hazy, onirical vibe of the story. The way the timeline ties together. The use of the inferior version of The Man who Sold the World. All of it oozes style.

Some awesome missions to be found there, but we won't forget that you tried to sell this prologue at 30 bucks.

Two chapters (five hours at best) of cool, fluid gameplay with nice concepts, then nothing but corridors and cutscenes. A nice conclusion to the saga and some of its themes, but a lackluster game. A couple characters, namely Naomi, Rosemary and Campbell, feel like completely different characters from their previous appearances.

A lot more formulaic than its predecessor and a lot less crazy, but I see why this is considered a classic
