a good part of this game is fun albeit pretty flawed, the enemy design can be outright atrocious at times (shoutout to you, mastiffs) but it's at least fun cutting shit apart

but of course the bosses are what really shine here. even the first few bosses in this game are so good that they'd genuinely fit in with some of the best bosses games have to offer, and then they only get better from there until you hit the fucking incredible climax of a boss fight that is armstrong and have to deliberately hold yourself back from screaming the lyrics of it has to be this way

boss fights as an artform peaked in this game and it's genuinely a shame more don't take after it

the best 3D mario game, shame nintendo didn't put it in 3D all-stars

pouring one out for showderp as i speak. the good always die too young

did the first section of this game while high but somehow doing the last section while sober was just as mindblowing

made my dick hard enough to cut glass can't wait until it's finished

this game is probably the best megaten i've played

now the story is kinda mediocre but i don't come to megaten for the story i do it because gameplay is very cool and awesome

and this game's gameplay is very cool and awesome, there are two gripes i have though

1. map is kinda dogwater but it only gets annoying in like the third area
2. new game+ options are gimped back to IV's shitty options instead of the wide variety of options there were in strange journey redux

that's about it the rest of the game cums and i can die happy after hearing the million fucking amazing battle themes in this game

still the best worst 9/10 i've ever played

heavily underrated, and genuinely far better than zero 4 even if it doesn't reach the heights 2 and 3 do

also the triple rod is still the best non-saber weapon in the series and i'm so sad it never came back

i don't know if it's because i just came off of playing AM2R, but this game just kinda didn't hit for me

also the ridley fight fucking sucks holy shit

>no skip cutscenes button in the year of our lord 2016

sure, it has its fair share of issues with slowdown (at least on switch), but when you get right down to it it's a port of one of the best RPGs of all time with its one huge flaw (the skill inheritance) completely fixed. this game's absolutely worth getting even if you've played nocturne before

2020

i have depression now. thank you omar

only like it marginally more than mania due to nostalgia. shame sega will never free it again due to bullshit copyright issues with the music, but at least there's sonic 3 AIR

eh game carried by the soundtrack holy shit the soundtrack is so good
