I really enjoyed this game. I haven't played a Fromsoft game before, so going into this I was really concerned I would end up hating it. While there was a learning curve I had to get over I eventually found my stride after leaving the High Wall of Lothric, one of the game's first areas. I can now see why so many people have found a love for this game series and I'm eager to try and start some of the soulslike games. This game is a real challenge but is fair with its fights and worth trying out if you're looking to get into the series.

As someone who has never played a half-life game I have to say I didn't enjoy it much. It takes way too long to complete and eventually the gameplay just becomes a little too repetitive there aren't a lot of concepts explored other than just shoot and move forward. Of course I am playing this game in 2023 so the standard of game that I am used to is a lot different than that of someone who enjoyed this game when it first released.
This is a jackbox pack, so if you've never played any of the series before, don't worry you will definitely enjoy this game. Knowing the standard of quality that are shown throughout the other packs though, this ends up being one of the weaker ones in the series. Overall it's not awful but maybe check out other packs first.
A classic party game. This was my first jackbox pack and it is one that I consistently return to whenever I'm looking to entertain a group of people. This pack has something for almost everyone and can be enjoyed with even as little as 3 people. Worth checking out if you're having a group over for a game night

What an amazing game this was to play. This game has been on my wishlist for a while now and I finally decided to pick it up. This game is a Zelda style action / puzzle game that has a central mechanic where every character has a time limit left on how long they can continue living.
While most of this game is great, I feel as though there are many things that could have been improved to make this game just a whole lot better. For instance I think that there should have been a bigger emphasis on your relationship with the in-game characters. As it stands now the only reason to give characters Anima is to get the benefits they offer for doing so as well as the general feeling that you don't want any characters to die. Really though there isn't a lot of reason to keep giving a character Anima if you've already maxed out a relationship with them because most of the characters don't have much use outside of this, and the ones with greater benefits such as the Blacksmith have a counterpart somewhere else in the world with a higher time limit. By giving the player a reason to want to keep these characters alive the devs could have put a much greater importance on who the player distributes their Anima to, as well as creating much more interesting scenarios for the player to engage with.
Despite some of this games shortcomings the combat and overarching story was enough to keep me engaged, and this game should definitely be on your backlog if it isn't already.

The common belief that this is "the hardest game ever" is really not all that true. it is definitely a game that will test your patience and will get harder the more frustrated you get with it, but it is possible.
In all honesty the first half is perhaps the hardest part. This is mostly because you will still be figuring out how to move around while facing easier obstacles. Unfortunately the game punishes harder for failing an easy obstacle than it does a harder one. Thankfully this means the higher you get the less far you'll fall (omitting the snake from this) giving you more chances to try something really difficult.
If you're patient and learn from your mistakes you'll be able to beat this, and you will get over it.
