This is easily my favourite game of all time. It's far from perfect, but I'm scared that I'll never experience a game like this again.

Sidon is a fitty as well.

I sometimes forget that some developers actually put effort into their games.

Pros:
- The imagination and creativity the devs have is unrivalled
- Combat is deep, varied and brutal (use the sword you won't regret it)
- Set pieces are absurd
- Enemy variety is through the roof
- Bosses are so cinematic that I incorrectly thought that I was at the final boss 3 times
- The story is intriguing enough and very lore plentiful for those who care
- Music is a bop and a half
- The game is basically just one big adrenaline rush

Cons:
- The voice acting is hit or miss
- Some attacks aren't that well telegraphed
- The final boss was a little underwhelming
- Checkpoints could have been placed better
- The camera was way too low on one of the levels
- The constant sex appeal brings nothing to the experience (unless you're a horny fella)

At £3 (on sale), you can't really go wrong buying this. I'm so exited to play the next one (which I heard was even better).

This DLC is overhated. People are actually mad that they toned down the combat? The combat from the base game was ass and it was shoved down your throat every 2 seconds. In my opinion, I probably enjoyed the first game slightly more, but this one is not far behind.

Exploration is toned down for this one which has its pros and cons depending on your tastes. Getting lost was a big issue in the first one, however it detracts from the 'play at your own pace' mindset that a game like this needs.

The puzzles are plentiful and ingenious, just like the first game. I was surprised by the amount of new mechanics thrown in as well. From descriptions and reviews, I was certain that this would just be 'more Supraland'. While abilities are mostly the same, the way you use them is completely different. Once again, I was floored by some of these puzzle solutions.

A lot of the games mechanics have been tweaked to make for a much better experience. For example, chests are much more rewarding this time around as there are less of them. Just simple changes like this go a long way.

Music is fine but doesn't quite reach the heights of Supraland (which wasn't a high bar anyway). The artstyle has improved quite a bit in my opinion although that might just be me. Story is more intriguing and the writing is a little bit better - though that's not saying much.

The developer straight up lied again about the games length so I would recommend buying this one on offer if you want your moneys worth. So excited for Six Inches Under.

No game has really come this close in terms of creativity in 16 years. The writing, character design and level gimmicks are all unmatched to this day concerning platformers/collectathons.

Having said that, the controls are average and sometimes frustrating, the camera is wonky and the levels are often puzzling. It's not clear on what to do half the time and while the bacon helps, it's not fullproof.

I bought this on offer at 60p which is a steal! Can't wait to play the sequel which will hopefully modernise the game and fix the issues I had.

The gameplay is aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

The graphics are oooooooooooooooo

And the music is eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

This is a near perfect sequel. It takes a couple of hours to get back into things but when it gets rolling, the developers go sicko mode on ideas. The level design is near perfect. Literally every aspect from the first game has been improved. It's still really linear tho (which is a good thing imo).

EDIT: Go for 100% if you want some incredibly creative but difficult platforming challenges, as well as a Super Mario World reference (I'm probably the only person who likes the media nods in this game)

Guacamelee was so much more influential that I realised. It helped revive the genre and you can see where other metroidvanias took inspiration. The game is incredibly stylised while still having a bunch of substance. The combat is satisfying and the unlockable abilities are wacky and unique. The level design is top-notch for the most part and the puzzle platforming makes up for the weaker movement.

Don't expect it to be an open metroidvania as you'll be very disappointed. I personally like this as it appeals to all players. There is no required backtracking for those who like linear games, however those who want to explore will be rewarded greatly. The game is very short so buy it when it's on offer.

I know this game is very different to among us, however that won't stop the comparisons from happening. Among us is much easier to learn and pick up, while still having as many gameplay mechanics as Unfortunate Spacemen. People are just tricked into thinking that this game is more complex or 'mature' than Among us but in reality it's just more complicated.

Needs a gritty remake with ray-traced ultra realistic 4K 3D graphics.

It's incredibly thrilling the first few times. I can imagine the game getting very repetitive due to many reasons. One death animation, limited ghost types and maps, and basic gameplay elements are all outlying problems with the game.

Yeah this game may be outclassed by newer FPS titles like Doom Eternal, this still holds up surprisingly well.

I'd often compare this game to Halo as they both came out at similar times. I find Halo to be very repetitive, while Half-life is constantly throwing new ideas at you from all angles. Halo will use the same room model 6 times in the same level while Half-life will use a mechanic once and you'll never see it again.

Halo outshines it in two aspects. Halo has a banging soundtrack while Half-life's is a little forgettable. I also hate hit-scan enemies. It forces you to take cover rather than reward you for being quick on your toes.

I think it's objectively worse than the first game due to the repetitiveness of stages and enemies however I still prefer it. There are more abilities, enemy types and just more content in general. I'm pretty sure it's free if you own the first game so you may as well try it out.

Crazy Dave really deserves a smash invitation

It's all fun and games until someone pushes you off a cliff and you spend the next 10 minutes wrestling.

It's pretty basic and repetitive if you think about it. Somehow it still manages to be an awesome game. Well designed bosses, unique artstyle, and floral fury. It still stole indie game of the year from Hollow Knight and A Hat in Time though.

Instant death spikes/pits, frustrating enemy placements, poorly designed bosses, outdated movement. I'm all for challenging games, however the difficulty shouldn't be from bad game design. I'm a huge fan of 2D platformers but I just could not get into this. NES games are just too outdated for my liking. SNES and forwards gets a pass.
