Personal Ranking of Games I played during Summer 2022

This is what the title says. I'd recommend doing something like this yourself if you haven't! I'm updating this as I play the games. I won't completely rule out replays if it's been a long time since I've played the game, but generally this only be games I've played for the first time.

If I've written a review for one of the games, it will be in the notes.

Better than the other weird versions but playing Daytona in crystal-clear HD is just sad.
I mean I preferred this to Championship Circuit Edition but neither are really my thing.
This game makes me upset. I HATE this game. Please, PLEASE DO NOT PLAY THIS. Even if you don't have the emotional baggage that I do with Klonoa, all you'll find here is a cheap and unpolished platform game that is technically incompetent to boot. I usually don't get upset when other people enjoy a game that I don't enjoy, but this game is different. When I hear that someone likes this game, I get upset. Thinking about and looking at this game makes me angry. This is everything wrong with remakes, preservation, and the modern game industry as whole. I repeat, PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS.

In terms of level design, this is some of the best of the series so far, but I found the game to also feel weirdly uninspired. The soundtrack doesn't hold a candle to Mega Man 2 or 3 either. The game features top notch production values and tons of polish, but I wouldn't blame someone for starting to tap out on Mega Man at this game.
Inspired, beautiful game. If you're a sucker for art direction and atmosphere akin to the likes of Nights into Dreams and especially Klonoa, you absolutely must play Napple Tale.

On it's own, this is quite a good action game. Not especially challenging or interesting, but still contains top-notch production values. With proper context, however, this game makes me really upset and kinda sad. Please, don't play this, at least until you've played the original Ninja Gaiden 2.

Disappointing but it's still Outrun 2.

Game is too long.
No reason to play this over V2. You need a boot disc to get it online so the lower price of V1 discs over V2 discs in the US doesn't matter since the boot disc doesn't care about region anyway.
More Puyo Puyo. I got exhausted. The game in general feels lacking in oomph and polish in comparison to 15th Anniversary.
It's not for me though I do get the appeal. Technically sublime, lacking in content.
Lovely.

Mostly goes in one ear and out the other. I'm sorry, this game just didn't do it for me.

Blaze is the coolest character though.

Review
Middle-of-the-road shooter paired with lackluster porno. It makes playing the game feel dirty, though I doubt anyone would've heard of it if that element wasn't there.
