Favorite game: The original game means so much to me, but this game's third semester. Fuck.
For real though, it's aesthetic is my favorite to just immerse myself in, I adore the art direction, and when I played it around the time I was the same age as the MC, me making my protagonist maxing out his social skills, hanging out with his confidants was just inspiring to me.

Favorite series - I don't really have a favorite series, but if I were to pick the most consistently good, it'd easily be 2D Metroid. (More like every 2D Mertoid I have played: Zero Mission, AM2R, Super, Fusion, and Dread) Every game is fantastic.

Best protagonist: Leon S. Kennedy. Motherfucker suplexes bitches and roundhouse kicks them, spouts iconic oneliners nonchalantly at some of the ugliest shit he has ever seen, and you're still telling me this game isn't good?
Guilty Pleasure/Love, but everyone hates: I love this dumb game and its trash story and its mindless satisfying gameplay loop. Holds a special place in my heart.
You hate, everyone loves
I really, REALLY hate this game. It feels like it was made solely to garner awards, so they just derived from many other games in the most half assed way possible. Awful camera, menus that undermine the one take camera which serves no thematic purpose, basic boring level design, lacking variety that barely makes up for the game's bloated length, tries so hard to ride off the success from The Last of Us. and a combat system that is deep on paper, but gives you no reason to dig deep. I'm very nice towards games. I really don't see myself as a cynic, but out of every game that I have ever played, I feel the most bitter towards God of War, mainly due to how self-righteous it is yet it falls flat.

Favorite ending: Kazuhiro Nakaya pulls off another moving performance in this game. I haven't cried at a game in so long and this broke me. The man deserves every award he's nominated for.

Favorite Art style:
It's weird. Aside from the awful performance and repugnant imagery (which is more than good), this and Persona pretty much inspired my fashion taste with black and a bit of punk-ish taste that I don't fully vile in, but looks really cool.

This game's Cybergrind is so immediate to get into and it's gameplay loop is the 2nd most cerebral that it is hard to stop playing.
