I've always been curious about this game, but never had a chance to play it until recently. It was better than I expected.

Swinging around levels like Spiderman and throwing props at enemies never got old. The game was well paced and flowed from level to level. I didn't get bored or tired of playing.

The inclusion of weapons felt a bit redundant when you have a bionic arm at your disposal. Some levels didn't feel like they were built with swinging in mind. I often found myself crashing into geometry, which broke up the flow a bit. I also wish that the bionic arm's cable was longer so that you could grab onto surfaces from further away.

I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a simple action game that can be completed in a couple of sessions.

Cute little game where you control a clumsy robot and build a vine infrastructure to try to reach the top. Can be easily beaten in less than three hours. A good palate cleanser.

After so many years, I finally understood what all the hype was about. The only thing I don't understand is why people prefer Underground 2 to Most Wanted. The original MW blows NFSU2 out of the water, easily.

Almost everything that was wrong with NFSU2 has been fixed, and only the good parts remain. The linear progression deserves special praise, and I loved how they incorporated it into the game with the Blacklist approach. The open world is still there, but you no longer have to drive from one event to another, which saves a lot of time.

The biggest addition is the cop chases, and they've done a great job with the implementation. The cops are really fun to mess with and you as a racer have a real chance against them. The police chatter is probably the best I've ever heard in an arcade racing game.

I actually liked the story. Sure, it's a bit cheesy, but it motivated me to finish the game and climb to the top of the Blacklist.

There are only a few minor issues with the game. I found the open world a little bland and boring. I also wish they had kept the extensive customization from NFSU2.

Unlike NFSU2, I didn't use any mods to improve the pacing or balance of the game. The only mods I used were to restore the Xbox 360 visuals to the PC version.

With a few tweaks, this could have been the perfect racing game. I'm glad I finally gave it a shot.

Pepper grinder is short and sweet, but probably a little too short. The platforming itself is very solid unfortunately I was pretty underwhelmed by the brevity of the game after waiting numerous years for the release.
I have to give it to the developer, though, the art direction on this game is phenomenal. The animation is smooth as butter and it looks great.
At the end of the day I had a good time with this one, even though I was a little let down by a short runtime and a few underwhelming bosses after the long development cycle. Give the game a shot and give the developer a few bucks, the game is good.

Endless replay value, try different builds with different crews. That last boss is TOUGH!

very good boomer shooter, would recommend to any fan of the genre, especially if you played heretic or hexen, it's pretty much like that but with a ton of polish and modern controls. It's a very speedy game I liked it a lot, even if like in a lot of doom likes, not knowing where to go sometimes can be frustrating. Overall it looks great, feels very good and is a lot of fun

Played well on Linux with ray tracing

This game has a irresistible visual style and top tier boomer shooting. It helped me get into the boomer shooter craze. The environments and enemies have tons of variation, which a lot of games like this lack.

it was fine. nothing too interesting here. play any of the other games, they're all better.

got me to realize that open-world games are not a lost cause. my first playthrough of it reinvigorated my passion for games, and it just made me feel a kind of way that no game had before it.

You start with a stick, beating slimes and soon are fighting dragons and other epic creatures, a slow and intense, not really boring grind to reach godhood levels, seeing big numbers popping over and over as you slash or explode your enemies.
Developed by a single person in the span of about 15 years, Astlibra Revision is an enhanced version of Astlibra proof of life. It adds a new chapter - and has new art by Shigatake, making it closer to almost being a Vanillaware title.
The plot is as heavy as any RPGs and visual novels, making it an interesting and important point. Hell, so many good time travel stories spawned since its initial development that I feel a little burnt out by them, but it's always cool and exciting to see.
Finding hidden equipment, learning new mechanics and plot details, challenging bosses you missed before, having a huge variety of equipment and customization that make progression extremely fun.
And the soundtrack is really cool as well, mixing many genres and a lot of good and memorable Vocaloid songs. They are memorable, and I still listen to them from time to time.
Chapter four was the lowest point for me, mostly due to story-related reasons. Chapter 3 and everything else gets better as you go, plus the post-game teaches you new mechanics with a lot of content, making it worth your time with a rewarding and fulfilling new ending.
This game is an inspiring indie achievement and I'm glad to have played it. Might play the DLC someday.

Unlike the souls games, I don't think I ever felt cheated whilst playing this. It always feels like it's on you for failing, which makes it so much more rewarding when you do succeed. Also one of the best feeling games I've played, and I'm struggling to find something that compares in terms of the clinical hand-to-hand combat.

There were a couple of technical issues on PC (FPS lock, 21:9 support), but they were fairly easily fixed by community mods. Would have probably been frustrating to play this on release though.

Played and finished in one session. I think this just ticked almost everything for me.
The movement in this game is something else. Kind of reminds me of Ori in a way, only in 3D. There's several abilities and each one let's you reach higher and further places, or gives you an easier way to reach existing ones.
Oozes style, the low-poly graphics and low-fps animations work so well because the character still controls so beautifully. The soundtrack is also perfect, usually slow and mystical which creates a nice sense of intrigue and mystery as you explore this unknown place. Switches up to something more intense when it needs to build the energy and get you going.
