This is probably the first pure strategy game I have ever finished a campaign in. I do not regret getting into this game at all, in fact I am super hyped for Total War Warhammer 3 now.

2015

The dark melancholic atmosphere in combination with one of the best stories I have ever witnessed in a game make it one of my favorite titles ever.

Apart from the lack of things you can do with your money in the last third of the game, this indie-gem is basically flawless.

My favorite multiplayer shooter yet. Super tight movement, great weapon feeling and fast paced combat. Happens to have one of the greatest single-player fps campaigns as well.

Outstandingly charming little indie-gem that captures the feeling of just going outside to explore the surroundings really well.

I was blinded by the great name and the pictures. Sadly, the gameplay is basic at best, the characters are not nearly as interesting as I had hoped for and the music starts to annoy after 2 minutes of hearing it. I wanted to like it, but I ended up refunding it.

I just wanted to try it out, did not expect to play this very long and half an hour was enough for me to be done with the game. I am sure there are people out there that can enjoy this game way longer than I did, but it is just not something that keeps my attention for long.

Playing Terraria in coop with friends is like forgetting that time even exists.

Spelunky 2 is more of Spelunky 1 but enhanced and expanded in many ways. Discovering its secrets with a bunch of friends is such a fun experience.

After getting used to the tank controls, this game remains very well playable today and is still fun to experience the title that changed survival horror significantly.

I finished the game some time ago, I liked it but not every bit of it. Invisible enemies are a pet peeve of mine, I just do not like the concept of them at all. Especially when they are placed in a narrow path in an escape sequence you have to finish before a timer runs out. I liked most of the gameplay though, the characters and the story are surprisingly not bad. The endboss was fun and not frustrating, which I liked. Now I hope for a continuation of the story in a third game of the revelations series. I also tried the extra episodes where you play only as Moira and only as Natalia, but did not finish them because I did not like them at all.

I played it on the Switch and used the wind back feature this emulation offers quite often as I would not really be able to enjoy this game without it. I do not have any nostalgia for this game as I am too young to have played it back in the days. And I do believe that this was mind blowing in a time when arcade games were a thing. Figuring out the secrets and hidden blocks and the tricky parts over several runs was probably really fun back then. I can really appreciate what this game set in motion though, but I for my part did not really have fun playing it in 2021. The worst parts were definitely 7-4 and 8-4 because these are the levels where they added these maze like puzzles where you have to traverse the level in a specific order to proceed. Its trial and error design 101 and simply annoying. This is NOT a bad game, but I simply did not enjoy playing it as much as I hoped to.

2018

By far the best roguelite I have played yet. Not only is the gameplay addicting and fun, but the story, the characters and the music are superb too. Highly recommended, one of the most polished games I have ever played.

Amnesia is one of my favorite horror games. The atmosphere this game offers is something I crave every few month when I am in the mood for a grim game. The game itself may not be perfect, but there wasn't any flaw that would make me stop playing this gem.
